Perhaps I better open up a personal stuff blog ... I'm up here with Bilquis .. lying in bed all day ..pale and thin .. not moving in case the haemorage starts again .. waiting for radio therapy to try to cauterize the wound ...
All that is on top and how I shall cope with life and earn a living without her ...
Is it sufi stuff ? Comments would be appreciated as I can't bring myself to write on B.L.any more .. so don't have any of my customary feed back.
In a way I am being forced back on my faith / spiritual connection .. but it seems so wierd not having other human beings (good friends perhaps of the same culture) to share with ...
The sensation of aloneness is what stands out .. and somehow I am going to have make myself very strong .. something which, up 'til now, I have never been.

hi grego! i just got back from a month away, and left the following comment for you on blogladder before i noticed the fracas around religious content. (for what it's worth, i would welcome you back, by the way.)

listen, i've been thinking about you and your wife for the better part of a month, now. have you heard of the essiac formula? here's a link to one of many sites that list it. some recipes vary slightly.
rene caisse was a canadian nurse who was given the formula by a woodswoman who got it from a native man who told her it cured cancer. rene proceeded to administer it, even though she got in serious trouble because she was "only" a nurse and not supposed to treat people directly herself. during one point, though, several doctors agreed to pass on their hopeless cases to her (since she couldn't do them any harm at that point) and she cured many of them. when she died, something mysterious happened to all of her files and so on. (i think the ministry of health came and burned them all in big oil drums in her back yard, or something strange like that.) i forget what, but you can check it out if you're interested.
