Now I've got to find that long url (or whatever it is that's made it happen) that's sent my info and links to the foot of the page .. Oh Lor'!

Sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it .. and on that subject I have found some very interesting stuff on the Haqiqat side of our work which I'll try to post and make some sense of this afternoon perhaps. (If I can find time between the shopping and cooking and other pending chores!)

Niyat

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Our Grandsheikh Shah Bahauddin Naqshband may Allah sanctify his soul & bless his secret said:

'Intention, ‘Niyat’, is very important. It consists of three letters: ‘Nun’, which represents the ‘Nur Allah’, the Light of God; ‘Ya’, which represents the ‘Yad Allah’, the Hand of God; and ‘Ha’, which represents ‘Hidayatullah’, the guidance of Allah. Niyat is the breeze of the soul, coming from the unseen world, not from the material.'

Sufi musicians.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Some pics from yesterday.

The ney player is Hamza from Granada and the cello player is Salma from Alicante. He has been Muslim several years and has been connected to the Murabitun group of Sheikh abdl Qadr Dallas and is going to visit Sheikh Nazim Adil next month in Cyprus. She is a new Muslim, only a few months in Islam and quite a rarity as a Spanish convert in the area where she lives.

First tuning up and a bit of practice.

Then a little discussion and planning.

Then concentration and (hopefully) inspiration.

The children were determined to get a look in too.

Finally the work pays off and we're ready for their first performance together.

After the dhikr at the Fonda, preparations are made.

First that ever important tune up.

Then Hamza makes an introduction in which he mentions meeting someone in Paris connected with whirling and ney playing, who (while not consciously being a murid) gets orders from Sheikh Nazim in his dreams , one of them being that he would meet a Spanish person with such and such a name and that he should help them because they wanted to become Muslim. Sure enough a little later he met the said person and helped him to become Muslim.

It seems like there might be a problem with the slippery floor and the spike of the cello, but it's soon solved ith the help of a cushion .. and we're off!

Inspiration seem to be "on tap" and was soon flowing ....

as was concentration

There were solos from both instruments,

and the harmony and balance of the two was appreciated by all.

Alhamduli'llah for the beauty and cultural diversity of Islamic culture.

Love for the Beloved.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

As a man in the arms of his beloved is not aware of what is without and what is within, so a person in union with the Self is not aware of what is without and what is within, for in that unitive state all desires find their perfect fulfillment. There is no other desire that needs to be fulfilled, and one goes beyond sorrow.-Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Heart Medicine.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet
Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

HEART Medicine

Each and very human being has two hearts.
One is a physical lump of flesh the size of a fist and the other is the spiritual heart of immeasurable size and depth, more immense than the universe!
If you are asking about aches in the physical heart, the remembrance of Allah is one good medicine, as it imparts unto our bodies strength and regularity and helps the bodily systems that effect the heart to maintain better equilibrium.
If your question pertains to the spiritual heart the heart that encompasses the whole universe, the remembrance of Allah is the medicine and nourishment of that heart as well. But to even become aware of the existence and functions of that heart certain teachings must be absorbed and certain practices maintained, for these teaching and practices are what can make our remembrance effective.
There are five stations of the spiritual heart.
These stations are virtually unattainable to people because they never place a guard at the first station, and thus Satan is free to enter it at will and to make his mischievous, evil proclamations. When we let him enter he immediately starts to discourage us from our spiritual endeavours by announcing that in reality there is no “train,” no “spiritual station,” no ”destination.” He claims, indeed, that even this first station is no station at all but only a place where we are wasting our time waiting to go somewhere when in fact there is nowhere to go. By making such false proclamations he hopes to influence us to abandon the hope of attaining spiritual enlightenment - to leave even that first station and occupy ourselves as his servants in his realm. If we heed his tricky words and abandon our journey he will keep us in constant misery and distress like prisoners in a very tiny cell.
But if you post a guard at the first station of your heart to prevent Satan and his soldiers from entering, you will be safe from the invasion of bad thoughts and evil intentions that would pull you down into endless trouble.
Who is that guard? That guard is “dhikr,” the remembrance of Allah. Who remembers his Lord has a Divine Light in his heart that prevents Satan and his soldiers form entering. Therefore the more you are able to remember and to meditate, keeping a close observer’s eye on your heart, the more successful you will be in keeping out your mortal enemy.
What is it that keeps us from meditation and self observation? When we dwell on the desires of our lower selves we become preoccupied and distracted from our vigilance. Thus with our own desires Satan accomplishes his break in , ..
But how can we escape from the preoccupation with our ego’s desire when those desires are such an intrinsic part of our being?
You must know that the ego’s desires are of two kinds legitimate and illegitimate. The physical being is attracted to food drink and sexual life You cannot prevent yourself from desiring those things as long as you are alive, for we are human beings and not angels.
We must understand that Allah Almighty grants us from all of those things that we desire only as much as is good for us, - just as much as will make us better able to concentrate on our “guard duty”.
The best guard is neither the starving man nor the overfed glutton, for the starving man will leave his post in search of food, and the overfed glutton will fall asleep at his post. Thus if a person does not permit himself even the legitimate fulfilment of physical need especially sex , the lower self will rebel violently and attack him with a gigantic and frenzied explosion which forces him to fulfil his needs immediately, regardless of whether that fulfilment is legitimate or not. ….
For this reason our Grandsheikh orders every murid to grant their ego its legitimate rights and to listen to some of its demand; - that they eat and drink of good wholesome and tasteful permitted food and marry in accordance with Divine injunction.
If you deny yourselves these permitted pleasures you are inviting “heart disease,” and you will suffer from many blows, sometimes to the heart, to the head to the stomach or the sexual organs, etc. –
------- and you must have a guide to teach you how to prevent such an onslaught. A person in distress from heartache must seek a Guide with the same urgency that a heart attack victim calls for a doctor.

The source of all help.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Behold! We have given you a clear victory that you may be absolved of the sins of your past and those yet to follow and that the Lord may perfect His favor to you and guide you and assist you with His invincible helping hand. It is but He who fills the hearts of the believers with peace and reassurance and adds strength to their conviction. Allah's are the legions of the heavens and the earth. He alone is the Knowing, Wise.-Qur'an, Al-Fath, Surah 48:1-4

The light of God is an ornament of wisdom. That is the meaning of "light upon light."The light of reason draws toward the earth. The light of God carries you aloft.Things of reason are of the lower world. The light of God is an ocean, reason merely a dewdrop.

Do not seek sustenance from people. God is the real Provider. If He wills a certain person to be the means of your livelihood, do not consider that person to be in control of your destiny. Calamity and guidance in surat Tabaghun.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

I was reading the sura "Tabaghun" often translated as "Mutual Loss and Gain." yesterday. Yusuf Ali says it is one of the eight short Medinan suras. The following ayat stood out in the light of recent events in my life.

064.011 YUSUFALI: No kind of calamity can occur, except by the leave of Allah: and if any one believes in Allah, (Allah) guides his heart (aright): for Allah knows all things.
PICKTHAL: No calamity befalleth save by Allah's leave. And whosoever believeth in Allah, He guideth his heart. And Allah is Knower of all things.
SHAKIR: No affliction comes about but by Allah's permission; and whoever believes in Allah, He guides aright his heart; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

Some recent news. (A question is raised about Tablighi Jamaat.)

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Today I recieved the following e.mail from an old and very dear friend of mine in Sheffield. Bilquis and I grew very fond of him and his Italian wife and family when we lived in Sheffield for a while a few years back.
I'm including it here (I hope he won't mind.) as it caused me to write him a newsy e.mail which covers recent events and puts any of my readers who are interested, "in the picture" so to speak.

Dear Uthman,
Recently I have spent time just trying to put myself in your place all I can imagine is confusion and desperation but looking at your Sufistuff Blog I see a reassuring calmness in your thoughts. I have struggled to put the right words down since I first saw your email and still feel incapable. Every word seems inappropriate and clumsy. I read your writings and think of you each day. At a time when I feel I should be giving support to you, I am the one taking from you. I dreamt of you recently, smiling. The warmth of that smile stayed with me through the day.I pray that smile stays with you.
Love and Salaams Ahmed.

Here's my reply.

"Some recent news."

Salaamu alaykum,
How are you ? How are things ? Everything O.K. with the family ? I assume so and hope so.
Thanks so much for your e.mail. Very sweet, very kind, very thoughtful. I think I'm still too close to it all to be able to say anything. At the moment I am here in my house again in Orgiva and very pleased to be back after a time in Catalunya . I have a young fella called Abdl Ali with me for a few days which is from Allah's generosity and kindness to me.It has helped greatly in facing what I was dreading, all the memories connected with this place and the surroundings and the people to face on my own.
Shortly after Bilquis's death I went to visit Mariam who is the widow of Ashraf who also died of cancer of the lung last year. She had sent me many messages of support and encouragement during the last phase of Bilquis's illness, as apparently in her turn, Bilquis had done for her.We were able to share and compare experiences and I realised that though mine was terrible, here was someone else who had had it even harder.I had had the support of family and friends and the doctors and nurses of the hospitals. She had managed her story with her husband almost completely alone and with three small children to look after. She now weighs 43 kilos and ended up in hospital after Ashraf died.(Interestingly enough she is Italian too btw.)
When I arrived in Catalunya Abdl Ali came out to meet me to guide me to her place which is in a country village. He was there for a couple of days with his wife Summaya and his son Amaan.

The next day was my birthday and we celebrated it with a picnic near the beach with the four children followed by games and flying a kite amongst the dunes.
I stayed a couple of days with them and then went to Abdl Salaam's house which is on the coast in Calonge. He is the guy I started markets with and Bilquis had worked various times in his shop in Lanjaron. When we came back to Spain the intention was to go into business with him but a bypass entrance was put right through the site of the shop and we went to run the "Fonda" Naqshbandi centre in Orgiva instead. (We are planning and He is planning and He is the best of planners.)
I was looking for opportunities to start a new life in Catalunya and put all the memories behind me,but, though there are many opportunities and possibilities for me there, it is not really my place.Andalucia and especially the Alpujarras seems to have so much barakah which is palpably missing in Pais Vasco and Catalunya.
Summaya now wants to go to see Sheikh in Cyprus with Mariam and her children at easter time, it seems that she and abdl Ali have split up though still living in the same house, which I find very sad. They were in Tablighi Jamaat together and have a lot of knowledge and discipline but somehow I miss the lightness and humour which happens around Naqshbandi tariqat.Perhaps Summaya also experiences something like that.
I have heard that Sheikh sometimes mentions Tablighi Jamat in the same context as the Wahabis.I'm not sure why but I think they are denying the necessity for a sheikh, though they often cite and praise sufis in their Bayans or lectures and have a goodly section about dhikr in their "big blue book" which a tablighi muslim in Hove gave me years ago when I first became Naqshbandi.
If you know anything specific on the subject I'd be very interested to know.
The last couple of days we have been to lunch on Sunday and supper last night at my freind Ahmad's house who lives just down the track from me.His step son and two step daughters just happen to be the nephew and nieces of abdl Ali and they were over the moon to see him. He is quite gifted artistically and they had a wonderful time ordering pictures from him for their drawing books, and playing games in the garden.
I finally bought a digital camera while I was in Barcelona, a Canon Power Shot S2 IS. I'm pretty pleased with it and hopefully some pics will start to appear on my blog (and/or "Flickr") quite soon. About four years ago Sheikh suggested that I travel between Spain and Marrocco and England and Damascus writing down what I see and taking photos ,it's taken me until now to get the money together for a suitable lap top and camera (I bought an Acer Aspire 3500 after this summer's work) .. now I'll see wether I'm still supposed to do this or not. I need to go and see the Sheikh and really would like to go before Easter when I may have a few days work with the silver stall.
Apparently Sheikh has some land and wants to build rammed earth houses on it. Years ago when I lived in Cyprus with Bilquis he suggested that I build a house like his with no cement and no metal in it, now apparently he wants no electricity either.
There is a slight possibility I might end up doing that for a while. Who knows, Hu knows.Sulayman from the west of Spain has been to advise a bit on the project and apparently in March a guy is going to start who already knows how to build these dwellings. Could be fun, at least I could write down what I see an take photographs!
Perhaps that'll do for now, stay in touch please and, if you see Ahmad Hisham send him my love and tell him it's now time to stop playing about and put his talents where his heart knows he should.(Literally give him that message if you can.) It's too close to the end to keep sulking like that, silly billy!
All my love and best wishes to you and all yours,
Salaams, love peace and faith power,
Uthman.

Breakfast the day we left. (As the Prophet pbuh said, "In the beginnings are the endings." Abdl Ali was the first person I met in Catalunya, and the one I left with.)

The day we left it was his son's birthday and he opened his presents just before we set off.

Fifty moral characteristics and habits of Rasulallah saws.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Fifty of the moral characteristics and habits of Hadrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam) have been listed below:1- The knowledge, religiosity, culture, understanding, wisdom, certainty, intelligence, generosity, modesty, mildness, compassion, patience, zeal, patriotism, loyalty, trust, bravery, majesty, eloquence, courage, beauty, fear of Allah, chastity, kindness, pity, shame, and piety of Muhammad (Sallallahu Ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam) were much greater than that found in other prophets. He used to pardon both his friends and enemies who hurt him. He would never scold them. In the battle of Uhud, he prayed for those disbelievers who caused his blessed cheek to bleed and broke his blessed teeth, saying: "O! My Allah! Forgive them for they are ignorant."2- He was very compassionate. He used to water animals by holding up a bucket of water; he used to wait until they had enough. He used to wipe the face and eyes of the horse he rode.3- Whenever he was called, he used to respond by saying "lebbeik" (sir!). He never used to stretch his legs among others. He used to sit on his knees. When he saw somebody walking while he was riding on an animal, he used to give him a ride.4- He never considered himself superior to any one. While traveling they wanted to cook some lamb. One of them offered to sacrifice a sheep. Another one offered to skin it. And one of them offered to cook it. Rasulullah (‘Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) said he would gather some firewood. They told him: "O Rasulullah! Please, be seated. We shall do that." He responded to them by saying: "Yes! I know you are ready to do everything. But I do not like sitting separated from those working. Allahu ta’ala does not like the one sitting apart from his friends." He stood up and went off to gather firewood.5- When he went to his Companions (radi-Allahu ta’ala anhum ejmaeen) he never used to sit in the front line. He used to sit wherever he saw an empty seat. While he was out walking with a cane in his hand, those who saw him stood up. He said to them: "Do not stand up for me as you do for others to show respect. I’m a man like you. I eat food like everybody else. I sit down when I get tired."6- Mostly, he used to sit on his knees. He was also seen sitting down with his knees up while embracing them with his arms. He never used to distinguish himself from his servants when getting food, clothes or something else. He used to help his servants with their work. He was never seen swearing at or beating on anybody. Anas bin Malik, who continuously served him, said: "I was in the service of Rasulullah for ten years. He served me more than I served him. He has never been angry with me. He never treated me harshly."7- He used to repair the rips in his own clothes, milk his own sheep and feed his own animals. He used to take home the things that he bought from the bazar by himself. During journeys, he used to feed his animals and sometimes he used to groom them, too. Sometimes, these things used to be done by him only; at other times he used to help his servants with these chores.8- When he was called by someone else’s servant, in accordance with the customs of Medina, he used to walk with that servant hand in hand.9- He used to visit patients and attended their funerals. To make them happy, he also used to visit the patients who were disbelievers and hypocrites.10- After he had conducted the morning prayer in the mosque, facing his Sahabas, he used to say: "Is there any brother who is sick? If so, let’s pay him a visit." Then, he used to ask: "Did anybody die? If so, let’s go to help them." Then, he used to say: "Did any of you have a dream? Let’s listen to him and interpret it." If somebody died, he used to help wash and shroud the corpse, conduct the funeral prayer and go to the cemetery.11- Whomever of his Sahabas he did not see for three days, he used to ask about. If that person went out on a journey he used to pray for him, or if he were in town he used to visit him.12- He always initiated greeting the man he met on his way.13- He used to ride on camels, mules, donkeys, and sometimes he used to make someone sit behind him.14- He used to serve his visitors and his Companions and declared: "The dearest one in a society is the one who always serves others."15- Nobody saw him laughing loudly. He used to smile slightly. Sometimes his blessed front teeth were seen while he was laughing.16- He was always seen worried and thoughtful. He used to talk very little. He used to begin a speech by smiling.17- He never used to say anything useless or unnecessary. In case of necessity, he used to speak briefly and clearly. Sometimes, he used to repeat his word three times so as to be understood very well.18- He used to joke with foreigners, the people he knew previously, children, old women and the women who were "mahrem" (those he could never marry). But, no situation ever caused him to forget Allahu ta’ala, even for a moment.19- Nobody was able to look at his face directly because of his majesty. If someone looked at his blessed face, they would begin to sweat. In reaction, he used to say: "Do not straighten yourself! I am not a king. I am not cruel. I am the son of a woman who ate dried meat." Then having lost his fear, the man would explain his problem.20- He had no guards or janitors. Everybody could easily come to him and reveal their problems.21- He was a very bashful person. He used to feel embarrassed looking into the face of a person he was talking to.22- He never exposed someone’s fault to his face. He never complained about or backbit anybody. Whenever he did not like somebody’s words or behavior he used to say: "I wonder why some people behave like that."23- Even though he was the beloved, the messenger and the favorite of Allahu ta’ala, he would say: "Among you I am the person who has understood Allahu ta’ala the best and fear Him the most. If you had seen what I saw, you would laugh less and cry more." Whenever he saw a cloud in the sky, he would say: "O! My Allah! Do not kill us with your wrath; do not destroy us with your torment; grant us good health." While he was beginning his prayers, a kind of sound, like the sighing of a child would be heard from his chest. This also happened while he was reading the Qur’an al-karim.24- His heart was amazingly powerful and brave. In the Hunain War, most of the Muslim soldiers had gone to seize the war booty. Consequently, he was left with only a few soldiers. At that moment, the disbelievers attacked suddenly. Rasulullah (Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) resisted and routed them. This happened several times. He never retreated.25- In the third chapter, at the end of the second section of the Mawahib-i Ladunniyya, it was stated that Abdullah Ibni ‘Umar said that he had never seen a more powerful wrestler than Fakhri Kainat. Ibni Ishaq stated that a shepherd among the disbelievers called Rugane was a great wrestler. He came across with Rasulullah at the outskirts of the city. "O Rugane Why don’t you become Muslim?" Rasulullah declared. Rugane asked him if there was any proof to show his being a Prophet. Rasulullah declared, "We will wrestle. If you are beaten, will you have iman?" He said, "Yes, I will have iman." At the very beginning, Rugane was beaten, he was perplexed. He said, "This should not be the case, let us try it once again." Thus, he was beaten three times. At the beginning of the third chapter of Shawahid-un Nubuwwa, it was stated: "I had no intention to have iman. I never thought that I would be beaten." He said, "Now, I am perplexed to learn that you are more powerful than me and I respect this very much." He gifted half of his herd to Rasulullah and he left. While Rasulallah was going with the flock towards Mecca, Rugane ran after him and said,- "O Muhammad! If the people of Mecca asked you where you found this herd, how would you answer?"- "I would say that Rugane gave them as a gift," he said.- "If they asked you why he gave them as gift?"- "I would say, I wrestled with him. I had beaten him. He appreciated my strength and he gave it as a gift."- "Please don’t say that. My fame and honor will disappear. You had better say, My words pleased him and he gave them as a gift."- "I promised my Rabb not to say any lie," he said.- "Then I will take the heard back," he said.- "It is up to you! One thousand herds could be sacrificed for the sake of my Rabb."Rugane fell in love with Rasulallah’s iman and honesty. He immediately became a Muslim by saying Kalima-i Shahadat. There was another wrestler called Aswad-il Jumahi. When he stood on the skin of an ox, ten strong men could not move the skin after pulling it from different directions, and the skin would tear into pieces but he would remain standing. He also said he would have iman if Rasulullah beats him. He was beaten but did not have iman.26- He was very generous. He gave away hundreds of camels, sheep, and he never left anything for himself. Innumerable hardhearted disbelievers were converted to Islam after seeing his generosity.27- When someone wanted something from him, he never said, "I do not have it." He would give it, if he had it. If not, he remained silent.28- Even though Allahu ta’ala had declared to him: "I shall give you whatever you want," he never wanted worldly fortune. Never did he eat bread made of sifted wheat flour. He always ate bread made of unsifted barley flour. He never ate enough food to be full. He ate bread without anything, or with dates, fruit, vinegar, soup, or bread dipped into olive oil. He also ate chicken, rabbit, camel, gazelle, fish, dried salted meat and cheese. He liked the leg side of meat. He bit into the meat while holding it with his hands. [It is permissible to eat meat with a knife.] He usually ate dates and drank milk. His family spent times at home without cooking any food or baking any bread for two or three months. During this time they would only eat dates. It was also witnessed that he would eat nothing for two or three days. When he died, it was found out that his iron armored jacket had been pawned to a Jew for 30 (thirty) kilos of wheat.29- Nobody ever heard from him the words: "I do not like this food." He ate the food he liked and did not eat the food he did not like.30- He ate once a day, either in the morning or in the evening. When he came home, he used to ask: "Is there anything to eat?" If there were nothing, he fasted. He ate his meals on the floor without a table, table cloth, tray or anything like them. While eating he sat on his knees, without leaning on anything. He began eating after reciting. ‘Basmala’ (in the name of Allah). He ate with his right hand.31- Sometimes, he put aside enough dates and barley for his nine wives and few servants to last them for a year. He also gave alms to the poor from these dates and barley.32- Among foods, he liked mutton, broth, pumpkins, sweet things, honey, dates, milk, cream, melons, grapes and cucumbers. He also liked cold water.33- He used to drink water slowly, starting with Allah’s name (Basmala), stopping with three pauses in between, and in the end he used to say "Alhamdulillah" (all praise to Allah) and then pray.34- As the other Prophets did, he never accepted any goods of zakat (charity) or any alms, but he accepted presents. He usually gave something in return for the presents.35- He wore everything that was divinely sanctioned. He covered himself with seamless garments made of thick material similar to a wrapper (ihram). He wrapped himself with a large cloth and also wore a shirt and robe. These were woven from cotton, wool and animal hair. He usually wore white garments, but sometimes green ones. He rarely wore things that had been sewn. On Fridays, on religious holidays (Iyd), in the time of war, and when foreign missions came, he wore precious shirts and robes. The color of his garments was mostly white. His clothes were long enough to cover his blessed wrists and shanks. In his book entitled Shamail-i Sharifa, Imam-i Tirmuzi (rahima-hullahu ta’ala) says: "Rasulullah liked to wear a Qamis, that is, a kind of shirt. The sleeves of his shirts were long enough to cover his wrists. There were no buttons on the collars or on the wristbands of his shirts. His shoes were made of animal skins and they had one leather collar and two qoobals on them. A "qoobal" is a strap sewn on the leather collar and on the front tip of the shoe from both ends. It passes between two toes. Local customs are followed in wearing clothes and shoes. Deviating from local customs causes notoriety. It is necessary to avoid notoriety. When he entered Mecca, he was wearing a black turban on his head."36- He usually wrapped his head with a black muslin, but mostly with a white one, and allowed its one end to come one span down his back. His turban was neither long nor short. Its length was nearly three meters. He used to wrap his turban without a skullcap. Sometimes he wore a white skullcap without a turban.37- Having adapted himself to the customs in Arabia, he allowed his hair to grow half way down his ears, but he did not let it grow any longer. He rubbed a kind of oil on his hair. Even while traveling, he carried a bottle of oil for that purpose. When he rubbed oil on his hair, he used to put on the muslin first, and then wear his head-covering over it. Sometimes when his hair was long, he plaited it, letting the plaits dangle from the sides. On the day he conquered Mecca, he had two braids of hair.38- He used to rub musk or other perfumes on his face, head and hands, and was often scented with aloe wood and the spirits of camphor.39- His bed was made of leather and full of date filler. Once, he was given a bed that was full of wool, he did not accept it and said: "O! Aisha! I swear by Allah that if I wanted, Allahu ta’ala would make gold and silver piles available for me in every place." He Sometimes slept on a mat, on wood, in a bed, on felt woven from wool, or out on the dry soil. 40- He never used to let his beard grow longer than a handful. He used to cut the hair longer than a handful with scissors. [It is sunnat to let the beard grow as long as a handful. It is wajib for a Muslim to grow a beard when he is living in a place where they customarily have beards. Cutting the hair longer than a handful is sunnat (a custom of the Prophet). Keeping the beard shorter than a handful is bidat. If the beard is shorter than a handful, then, it is wajib to lengthen it as long as a handful. It is makruh to shave. But if you have an excuse, shaving is not makruh.]41- He used to tinge his eyes with stibium three times every night.42- He used to have a comb, mirror, a box for stibium, miswak (natural toothbrush), scissors, sewing needle and thread in his house. He used to take them with him when traveling.43- He preferred beginning from the right side and using his right hand. He only used his left hand to wash after a stool.44- As far as possible, he did his jobs using odd numbers.45- After the night prayer, he slept until midnight, then, he worshipped until the morning prayer. He would sleep on his right side and put his right hand under his right cheek and then recite some chapters of the Qur’an before falling asleep.46- He assumed "tefe’ul." In other words, he considered a good omen whatever he saw first or suddenly. Nothing was unlucky for him.47- When he was sorrowful he would grasp his beard and think upon the matter.48- When he had trouble, he preferred performing salat at once. The enjoyment and pleasure of prayer caused him to lose any sense of sorrow.49- He never listened to a person backbiting, that is, the one speaking slanderously about an absent person.50- While he was walking along the street, if he felt it necessary to look around, he would turn his whole body and not just his head.
WARNING: All of the above-mentioned things done by the Prophet of Allahu ta’ala (Sall Allahu alaihi wa Aalihi wa Sallim) have been classified into three groups by Islamic scholars (rahima humullahu ta’ala). The first group contains the things that are necessary for every Muslim to do. These are called "sunnat." The things that were peculiar to the Prophet only (Sallallahu Ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam) make up the second group. Others are not permitted to do these. These are called Hasais. The third group consists of those things which depend on customs. Every Muslim must do these by adapting himself to the customs of the place he is living in. If a Muslim does not follow these customs, fitna (discord and trouble) may possibly arise. Awakening fitna is haram (prohibited).

Love of the Prophet SAWS.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Introduction to "Love of the Prophet and its Signs"Shaykh Fadl Elahi© 1997, Invitation to Islam

One of the joys that Allaah, the Most High, grants His servant is to love His beloved Noble Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, and how can it be otherwise, when to love the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, is one of the conditions of faith?
Imaam al-Bukhaaree related from Aboo Hurayrah, radiyallaahu `anhu, that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, said: By Him in Whose Hands my soul lies, none of you will truly believe until I am more beloved to him than his father and son. [1/58]
Imaam Muslim related from Anas, radiyallaahu `anhu, that he said: The Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, said: None of you will truly believe until I am more beloved to him than his family, wealth and all the people. [67]
In the same way that love of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, is a reason for attaining the good of this world and the Hereafter, then loving him is also a reason for achieving the sweetness of eemaan.
Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim both related from Anas, radiyallaahu `anhu, that the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, said: Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness (delight) of eemaan: One to whom Allaah and His Messenger, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, become dearer than anything else; Whoever loves his brother solely for Allaah's sake; and whoever hates to revert to disbelief just as he hates to be thrown into the Fire. [al-Bukhaaree 1/60, Muslim 166, and the wording is from al-Bukhaaree]
The meaning of "sweetness of eemaan", as the scholars, rahimahumallaah, have stated is: Deriving pleasure from obedience, to endure hardship in religion and preferring this over worldly things. [See Sharh un-Nawawee (2/13) and Fath ul-Baaree (1/16)]
Loving the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, will also be a means of taking one to the place of felicity.
It has been related by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim from `Abdullaah bin Mas`ood, radiyallaahu `anhu, that he said: A man came to the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, and said: O Messenger of Allaah! What do you say of a man who loves a people and never joins them? The Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, said: The person will be with those whom he loves. [Agreed upon. al-Bukhaaree 10/557, Muslim 3/2034, and the wording is from al-Bukhaaree]
His statement, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, The person will be with those whom he loves, means in Paradise. [See `Umdat ul-Qaari' 22/197]
We all claim that we love the Noble Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, and that he, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, is more beloved to us than our fathers, sons and all the people. However, are we really truthful in this claim? Does our claim have any value in the Sight of Allaah?
The scholars, rahimahumallaah, have mentioned signs and criterion by which the love of the Prophet, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, can be judged i.e. whether it is in a person's heart or not. Some of the most apparent signs are the following:
1) Concern for seeing and keeping company with him, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam. Thus, the loss of these two concerns would be worse than the loss of anything in the world.
2) Total willingness to sacrifice oneself and one's wealth for him.
3) Following his orders and leaving what he prohibited.
4) To make his Sunnah victorious and to protect the Sharee`ah.
If one finds these signs in himself, then he should praise Allaah, the Most Mighty and the Most Majestic, that he possesses in his heart the true love for the Beloved, the Noble [Prophet], may the blessings of the Lord and His peace be upon him. He should ask Allaah for steadfastness upon this.
Whoever lacks some or all of these signs, should hold himself to account before he is held to account, on a Day which will turn the hair of children gray (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). Nothing will be hidden from Allaah, the Most High, and he (the slave) will not consider or attempt to deceive Allaah, the Most High, and the Believers; because one who attempts to deceive Allaah, the Most High, will only deceive himself as Allaah says:
They (think to) deceive Allaah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not. [Soorah al-Baqarah, 9]
I will speak, with success granted by Allaah, the Most High, summarizing these signs, drawing on accounts of the love of the Companions for al-Habeeb, al-Kareem, al-Mustafaa, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, mentioning also our condition upon it, in the hope that Allaah, the Most Mighty and the Most Majestic, will improve our affairs and guide us to the path of righteousness.

Paradise Gardens.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

The Prophet said, "When you pass by the Gardens of Paradise rejoice."When his companions asked the location of those gardens, he replied, "They are the circles of dhikr."-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

Some insights into the spiritual ranks of Maulana Sheikh Nazim.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

HAQIQAT UL HAQQANI

THE QUALITY OF AULIYA

From "Nur Mir"

Moulana Sheik Nazim is of the highest quality of Auliya so that the one who sits with Moulana Sheikh Nazim feels that he himself is in the rank of a very great Saint (Wali). This feeling is not from himself but from the light and spiritual power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He has been given power from Allah Almighty so that anyone who sits with him feels that he is so very near to Allah Almighty and to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and that he is always going to be close to them. This is because the spiritual power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim immediately enters into one who sits with him which makes him to be always with Allah Almighty, the Prophets and the Saints.
When a person takes Bayyat from Moulana the spiritual power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is always with that person immaterial of how far away in distance he is from the physical presence of Moulana. Moulana will be with him through every moment until that person reaches the grave. Until the day of judgement Moulana will be with that person. Even until he reaches in front of Allah Almighty will Moulana be with him. When Allah Almighty questions this person Moulana shall answer all questions instead of him. In this time it is not possible to find this kind of Auliya like Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Moulana says that this quality of Auliya is hidden and all of them are presently with Sahib us Zaman Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) has now during our time left between the East and the West in all of this earth only Moulana Sheikh Nazim who is the only one able to give this type of knowledge and wisdom to the hearts of the people.
THE CONCEPT OF SULTAN UL AULIYA
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the Sultan ul Auliya of this age. Most people think that the rank of Qutub ul Gauz is the highest because they have no knowledge of the rank of Sultan ul Auliya. Moulana Sheikh Nazim was given the rank of Qutub ul Gauz 30 years ago by his Grandsheik. When Grandsheik Abdullah Al Faiz ad Dhagistani (qas) passed away from this earth, Moulana Sheikh Nazim became the Sultan ul Auliya and he then granted the rank of Qutub ul Gauz to someone else.
In actual fact the rank of Qutub ul Gauz in comparison to the rank of Sultan ul Auliya is very low. The station of Qutub ul Gauz entails the function of arranging the needs of the physical bodies of the people. For example to have their food and to have the mercies of Allah Almighty come to them. The Sultan ul Auliya however deals with the hearts, the soul and the spirit of humanity. He is the one who makes them always to be with Allah Almighty in the place where the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) made Sajda on the night of Mihraj.
The Sultan ul Auliya is the Khaliphatullah of the time and he represents the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) while the other Saints represent one of the other 124,000 prophets. As all the other Prophets are also represented by the Seal of Prophets Seyyidina Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Sultan ul Auliya of the time also has the Tajjalli and the power of all the 124,000 Prophets.
The representative of Allah Almighty during one particular age is only one and in this time and age Moulana Sheikh Nazim is this representative, and he is the Sultan ul Auliya and Khaliphatullah of this time.
As the Khaliphatullah or the representative of Allah Almighty in our time it is Moulana Sheikh Nazim who is inside the ka'abatullah. The ka'abatullah is also known as the Baithullah or the house of Allah. Allah Almighty is everywhere but especially in the Baithullah as He has Himself called it the house of Allah. For it to be called the house of the Lord, the Lord of the house must be in it. The Lord of the house is represented by His Khalifa who in this time is Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
The rank Sultan ul Auliya in Tariqat means the rank of the Saint who possesses the secret of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). This secret was put in the heart of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) by Allah Almighty. Thereafter the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) transmitted this secret to the heart of Abu Bakr Siddique (Ral). Thereafter this secret has been transmitted right down to our times through the Golden Chain of Spiritual Transmission of the Naqshbandi Tariqat (Silsila).
There have not been many who have held the rank of Sultan ul Auliya from the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). >From the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) till now there are only forty of these representatives. This secret was passed down from the heart of Abu Bakr as Siddique (Ral) to Salman al Farsy and then from Siddique to Siddique, and now during our time Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the possessor of this secret.
In the spiritual chain of Moulana Sheikh Nazim all of them preceding him were the Sultan ul Auliya of their times-for example Salman al Farsy, Yusuf al Hamadani, Abdul Khaliq al Ghudjdawani, Shah Naqshaband, Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani etc. Apart from the Saints in this chain of spiritual transmission only Moulana Abdul Qadir Jeelani (qas) was of this rank.
This Divine secret of Allah Almighty which was given to the heart of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and transmitted from heart to heart from one Siddique to another is the Divine Secret and Divine Breath which Allah Almighty blew into Adam (alai).
THE RANK OF SULTAN UL AULIYA
Everything that you know of is under the spiritual control of the Sultan ul Auliya. He is the one who is in charge of all mankind in this universe. He is also in charge of all the world of Jinn's and Angels as the Sultan of Mankind is also in charge of all the Jinn and of all Malaika (Angels). This Maqam (station) of Sultan ul Auliya is a Maqam related to the hearts. Not even a thought can be comprehended of the greatness of this Maqam. This Maqam in this time is related to Moulana Sheik Nazim.
Moulana has been given the power to be in every heart of every human being in this universe. He also has the immense power of being able to make the Divine Light of Allah Almighty and all the 124,000 Prophets to enter into the hearts and bodies of all humanity in just one moment.
In one moment Moulana is able not only to make an unbeliever to believe but also to be able to make him attain the rank of Siddique (the rank of Siddique is the highest rank of Sainthood), and to make him to always be a light of Allah Almighty to sit in front of Allah Almighty and to make him see and talk with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to comprehend the Holy Prophet's spiritual rank. Moulana Sheikh Nazim has the power to make the unbeliever be like him in rank and position.
In the case of all the Prophets they received their secret from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In the same manner all Auliya during this time receive their secrets form the Khaliphatullah of this time. As Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the Khaliphatullah of this time, it is he who gives all ranks and all stations to the Auliya. No one can become a Wali or Qutub unless Moulana Sheikh Nazim gives this rank to him. Moulana is the representative of Allah Almighty who possesses this power.
Everything in this Universe has been created for the honour and for the sake of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Everything that has been created in this Universe is created from the Light of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Everything that we see in the first instance is the Light of Allah Almighty. Due to this reason we say "La ilaha illallah". Then thereafter Allah Almighty reduced these lights to the Light of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) so that there would be an intermediate stage between all that we see and Allah Almighty. This is why we also say "Muhammad ur Rasulullah" in the kalima.
During every age there is a Saint responsible for all these lights. In our time this responsibility is given to Moulana Sheikh Nazim as he is now the representative of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and also of all the 124,000 prophets. When Grandsheik Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) left this world this secret was given to Moulana Sheikh Nazim in Tave Muqallam in a very big ceremony, and from this time onwards he became responsible for all of creation - the Humans, Jinn's, Angels, animals, trees, Earths, stars and everything that is created from the Light of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
Grandsheik Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) ordered Moulana Sheik Nazim to do about 10 to 12 seclusions (Khalwats) in a lot of places. When Moulana completed these seclusions, his physical body became annihilated and his body became a divine body which is related to Allah Almighty. It was only after this that this responsibility and secret was given to Moulana, as this is never given except under these circumstances.
THE DIVINE LIGHT OF ALLAH ALMIGHTY
Anybody who takes Bayyat from Moulana Sheikh Nazim, specially those from western countries will not leave this world except as Walis. Regarding this Moulana says "I have been ordered by Allah Almighty and by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to gather all the lights that are now coming from Western and European countries and to return them to their origin. Any European or Westerner or anyone else making Bayyat will not leave this Dunya except as an Auliya and he shall reach to the highest stations which Allah Almighty offers to beloved servants."
Moulana also said "the light of one who makes Bayyat with me, specially those who are entering Islam now and who come to me, shall be so bright and powerful that even the sun shall appear dark besides their light. I shall make their light brighter and more powerful than the light of the sun. They shall shine in every place, all over the universes and all over the paradises".
When Moulana Sheikh Nazim begins a lecture he does not only speak to those who are in front of him. Thousands of Auliya and millions of Jinn's also listen to this same lecture of Moulana. Regarding this Moulana says "I am not only speaking to you. Perhaps you are only ten, or fifteen or a thousand, but hundreds of thousands of Auliya are here with me now, and millions of Jinn's are now sitting with you and are listening to me. In my lectures I give three stations - one for you, one for the Auliya and one for the Jinn's. In any place I sit and in every lecture that I open, the spirit of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Divine Light and Essence of Allah Almighty is always with me and never leaves me". This is the power and rank of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) once said that he had dressed Moulana Sheikh Nazim with the Ninety Nine Beautiful Names of Allah Almighty including also the Ismul Aalam, the Greatest Name of Allah Almighty. Therefore do not look at Moulana Sheikh Nazim as Moulana Sheikh Nazim, but look at him as a Tajjalli or Light of Sayedena Muhammad (s)
Grandsheik Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) also said "It is not good to say that he is Allah as the followers of Jesus Christ say about Jesus. Instead you should say that "he is a Tajjalli or Light of Sayedena Muhammad (s) ." When he speaks, don't listen to him as from Moulana Sheikh Nazim, but listen to him as if RasulAllah is speaking to you, " yes, He is the one who speaks to you".
When the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) went on Mihraj he reached a certain point with Angel Gibreel (alai) when the Angel said to the Prophet (peace be upon him) "Only you can enter beyond this point. If I move further I will be destroyed and there shall thereafter be no existence for me". The Prophet said "yes, I will enter" and he went beyond this point to the utmost limits. When he did this his personality was destroyed and he became a Light of Allah Almighty. By becoming this Light he reached to Allah Almighty.
This is also the same for every Sheik of the Naqshbandi Tariqat as they are dressed with the Divine Secret and the Divine Breath of Allah Almighty. Their bodies too have been destroyed and they have taken off their human personality. They too became a Light of Allah Almighty as it happened to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as they continued on their journey and reached to the very Throne of Allah Almighty. Moulana Sheikh Nazim is now dressed with these lights and therefore we should look at him as a Tajjalli of RasulAllah {s}.
Regarding this Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) said "I have ordered Moulana Sheikh Nazim into seclusion and made him reach this rank. He now has a face towards the creatures and a face towards Allah Almighty." Therefore he is with Allah Almighty all the time and with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) all the time. They speak to him and he speaks to them at every moment so that he can translate to the People around him all that they are in need of from Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim does not need to have recourse to books in answering any question that his followers or visitors put to him. He knows exactly what they need to know from Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and he answers them immediately. He knows for what reason these people have come to him and for what reason they have visited him and he talks to each of them according to their capacity.
If their capacity is high then Moulana talks to them from the light of Allah Almighty. If their capacity is less than this he talks to them from the station of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and if their capacity is even less than this, he talks to them from the station of Mahdi (alai) or from the station of the Auliya. Whatever station that their capacity requires Moulana is able to talk from all these stations.
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) also said that Moulana Sheikh Nazim will be the channel through which the secret of the Quran will enter into the heart of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) has already dressed Moulana Sheikh Nazim in all these ranks. When Moulana Sheikh Nazim speaks he is not as if he is a man who looks at a map and describes some town or country. On the other hand Moulana is in all the ranks that are related to the secret of the Quran. When he describes this he does so with personal experience.
Not only does Moulana describe these ranks to his followers or visitors but also dresses them in these ranks so that they will not leave this world until they are dressed with these lights and all of them become Auliya. They shall not even be ordinary Walis. They shall be in a Maqam like that of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
THE TEACHER, THE MASTER AND THE INTERMEDIARY
Moulana Sheikh Nazim's power is not given to him only for himself but for everyone who is related to him on the Day of Promises. All the people of the Umma now have been given by Allah Almighty to Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). All of them are also now under the tutelage of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He is now teaching them and dressing them with Maqams (stations) so that when Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) comes, they will have the capacity to talk to Allah Almighty. At this time like Seyyidina Moosa (alai) the people will be able to talk to Allah Almighty. They shall also be able to talk to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to the 124,000 Prophets.
Allah Almighty has made Moulana Sheikh Nazim to be the teacher and the Master of these people and of the Auliya of this time so that they will all have the capacity to reach to these ranks during the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) and be able to sit in the lectures of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
If there wasn't Moulana Sheikh Nazim between us and Seyyidina Mahdi (alai), or between us and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), or between us and Allah Almighty, no one would be able to reach to the Divine Knowledge's or to connect up with the station of the Auliya or with the station of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or with the station of Allah Almighty. This is because Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the intermediary between us and these stations.
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) has said that it is now the duty of Moulana Sheik Nazim to collect and gather every human being who had been given to him on the Day of Promises.
Every human being is a light from the Light of Allah Almighty and from the Light of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Khaliphatullah of this time, Moulana Sheikh Nazim is representing Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Therefore all humanity are also from the light of this Khaliphatullah. In our time this Saint is Moulana Sheikh Nazim. It is because of this reason that Moulana Sheikh Nazim was told on the Day of Promises by Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that these millions of people will be under his vision and that Moulana should look after them because their light is from the light of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
This is why people find themselves attracted to Moulana Sheikh Nazim. The light of Moulana is attracting their light like a drop of water falling from the clouds is drawn to fall into the ocean. This is why when we enter and sit at a lecture of Moulana Sheikh Nazim we feel like that drop of water merging into the ocean and forget Dunya and the life of this world.
THE CONQUEROR OF THE HEARTS
Moulana Sheikh Nazim (qas) will be the one who will be in charge of the hearts of people during the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). He will be the Spiritual Master and the Spiritual Father of all the people living in this time. The sword of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) will take away the heads of all those who reject what Moulana Sheikh Nazim will say in that time.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim (qas) has said that anyone who has made Bayyat with him and who is his mureed or follower and believes in him would be under his vision. They would always be kept safe in this world. Even if an atom bomb was to explode near him he would be protected and kept safe. A wind would be sent from paradise to this person so that he would be able to breathe the air from it and not from the nuclear waste in the atmosphere.
Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have given to Moulana all the people of this time and during the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). All of them are under his vision and control. Moulana Sheikh Nazim does not even need to look at them from the station of Divine Vision as all of them are as if they are in his hand.
Moulana looks at them as if they are on the palm of his hand. He looks at them at every moment and he knows what they do at each moment. If bad situation is to come to a mureed of his, Moulana has the power to change it. Moulana's purpose is to make this mureed to reach to Rizwanullah. Anything that obstructs the path of this mureed in reaching to this station of Rizwanullah would be taken away by Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He will clear all obstacles. If something bad is about to happen to a mureed of Moulana Sheikh Nazim, he would make a dua to Allah Almighty on behalf of this mureed and take this away from the mureed. In this manner Moulana Sheikh Nazim can enter into and change destiny (qasaullah) and the course of nature.
An example of this once happened at Mecca and Sheik Adnan relates this incident as follows: "We were in Mecca with Moulana Sheikh Nazim making Tawaf. The sun was out and there was not a cloud in sight. Moulana then prayed to Allah Almighty saying "Oh! Allah Almighty, I have come here as Your guest to please You. I would like it to rain so that I can take some Baraka from the rain that comes down at the Ka'aba. The clouds built up and it began to rain. It rained so hard that all Mecca began to look like a river.
THE LOVE FOUNTAIN OF THE HEARTS
Today the hearts of the Europeans and the Westerners are attracted to the Naqshbandi Tariqat more than the Arabs and those from other countries. This is because their hearts are wide and open not narrow and closed. During the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai), Moulana Sheikh Nazim will be in charge of the hearts of all the people. Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) would be in charge of establishing the Sharia while Moulana Sheikh Nazim will be the love fountain and love centre for the people. He shall be entrusted with the opening out of the hearts of the people.
Every Auliya in this time sees Moulana Sheikh Nazim as a Light of Allah Almighty. No one can even imagine the spiritual shape of Moulana Sheikh Nazim, because all the heavens and the earth enter into him. The physical shape of the one who has the Divine secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) must also closely resemble the physical shape of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As Moulana Sheikh Nazim has this secret, his physical shape closely resembles that of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
All those who come to visit Moulana Sheikh Nazim and sit with him will also gradually have their physical features slowly transformed. This is because they are not seated with an ordinary person. They are seated with an extraordinary power which is Moulana Sheikh Nazim. The more that a person sits with Moulana Sheikh Nazim, the more will his love increase and the higher will be his ranks and every Auliya in this time will have the shape of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
THE MIRACLE OF MIRACLES
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is one of the most remarkable Saints of all time. This type of Sainthood is not generally known by the people. All that they know is that somehow their hearts are attracted to him. People don't even know why their hearts are attracted to Moulana in this manner. This is because he is one of the biggest Saints of all time.
Moulana does not generally perform miracles in the nature of flying in the air or walking on water as he says that even Shaitan has the power to perform these types of miracles. His miracles are however, of a different type. His miracles are to be found in the day to day life of his mureeds (followers). For example he is with every one of his mureeds at every given moment and all the time.
If at any time a mureed calls for him saying "Madad Ya Seyyidi" Moulana immediately sends a divine look to his heart and then the heart of this mureed is lit up with a Divine Light. This Light is sent by Moulana from his heart to the heart of this mureed. This mureed shall then be in a good situation and the bad thing that was to have happened to him would have been taken away from him.
Another of the miracles of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the miracle in the grave. When the Angels appear in the mureeds grave to question him, Moulana Sheikh Nazim will immediately be there and say to the Angels "Don't question my follower, question me instead of him and I will answer on his behalf. "The Angels shall not be able to bear the Light of Moulana Sheikh Nazim and due to this they shall be forced to go away.
During the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) the Light of his heart came onto the hearts of the Sahabas around him. This is also so with Moulana Sheikh Nazim. The same Light as in the case of the Sahabas shall come from the heart of Moulana to the hearts of his followers. For as long as a person sits with Moulana Sheikh Nazim this very same light shall at every moment come onto the heart of this person. This is the case for every follower, guest or visitor of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
A person if even for only once visits Moulana Sheikh Nazim he shall not leave this life except as a believer. This is because, Allah Almighty shall ask this person "did you in this life of yours see any Sheiks?" He will then answer "Yes, I have seen Moulana Sheikh Nazim." Then it will be said to him "Let Moulana Sheikh Nazim come" This is the miracle of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Still another miracle is that when on the Day of Judgement Allah Almighty asks as to what a person (a person who had taken Bayyat from Moulana Sheikh Nazim, believed in him and visited him) did during his lifetime, Moulana Sheikh Nazim shall act as this person's lawyer and defender.
Moulana will not allow any of his mureeds to enter hell. He will not even let them to enter the Paradises that are known to the people. No , Moulana Sheikh Nazim will make them enter the Paradise that is related to Allah Almighty. The ordinary Paradises vanish into nothing when compared with the lights of this Paradise which is the Paradise that is related to Allah Almighty. Moulana Sheikh Nazim shall make all his followers to enter into this Paradise.
THE POSSESSOR OF THE PRESERVED TABLETS
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) said that the preserved tablet in each time and age is the Saint (Wali) that represents the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Allah Almighty. In this time Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the Saint who represents Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) therefore the Preserved Tablet in this time is Moulana Sheikh Nazim. All Auliya see him now in this rank. The knowledge that comes in from the Preserved Tablet is really from the light of the palm of the Saint who represents Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in this age. In this time age, this great Saint is Moulana Sheikh Nazim (qas).
Every time that Moulana Sheikh Nazim gives a lecture, he looks into the Preserved Tablet. Moulana generally has a habit of looking slightly upwards before commencing a lecture and then he continues delivering his lecture. This is because he reads what he is going to say from the Preserved Tablet. Moulana once said "when I pray, I look to see what is written in the Preserved Tablet for me to recite in Salat ul Luhr and also for every prayer I do the same to find out what I should recite during that prayer from the Holy Quran. I don't walk from this place to that except by looking and reading the Preserved Tablet. "Moulana is the one who is in this time giving what Allah Almighty wants to give to any Saint and to all the people according to what is written for them in the Preserved Tablet. He is writing it to them bringing this knowledge both from Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana gives an answer to any question that is asked from him from the Preserved Tablet. Moulana says that there are many Preserved Tablets. There is a Preserved Tablet for the people, a Preserved Tablet for the Ulema, and there is a Preserved Tablet for the Auliya. Then there is a Preserved Tablet for the Khaliphatullah and a Preserved Tablet for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Moulana says that he can talk from all the preserved Tablets because he is in all these ranks. This is because Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) gave to Moulana Sheikh Nazim the secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the representative of Allah Almighty and he possesses the Divine Secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He is also now the representative of Allah Almighty because of which he is present in every cell of the Universe. How can it be otherwise because he is representing Allah Almighty in this Universe. Therefore he has to be in every place, in every star and in every part and portion of the Universe. This is why he is in every cell of the Universe.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim can also be present in his shape and body in several places at the same time. Bayazid Bistami (Ral) (one of the Great Grandsheik's of the Naqshbandi Tariqat) once multiplied himself and took on 24,000 bodies and prayed prayers at 24,000 different places. The people of all these towns and countries bore witness that they prayed with Bayazid Bistami (Ral) on that Friday.
Where Moulana Sheikh Nazim is concerned he is able to multiply himself and take on between 70,000 and 700,000 such bodies and to appear in as many places at the same time. Bayazid Bistami (Ral) lived a thousand years ago and the Tajjalli of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is stronger and more powerful and more precious as he now has the secrets of all the previous Grandsheik's including that of Bayazid Bistami (Ral) in his heart. He also possesses the secrets of all the prophets and the secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in his heart. He is therefore the most remarkable Saint in the Divan of the Saints of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is not only in our earth but he is also in a lot of other places which are not related to our earth. He is present in all these other places and he is also present with us at the same time. For example, there is a mountain called the "Mountain of Qaf". This mountain is not related to this Earth. There are many Auliya of high rank and station in this mountain. Moulana is the Imam of them all. He leads the prayer on this mountain on every Friday at Jummah.
Whenever Moulana Sheikh Nazim delivers a lecture to his followers or to his visitors he also is with the Auliya on this "Mountain of Qaf" making this very same lecture. This lecture is not only for those people who are listening to him at that moment but also to all those who have been related on the Day of Promises to Moulana Sheikh Nazim by having it written for them that they should listen to this lecture.
When Moulana Sheikh Nazim lectures to somebody, this lecture is not meant for that somebody only, but for all the people throughout the East and throughout the West. His lectures are for all the Auliya and for the hearts of all the people in all the Universes in our time. This is because all of them need the secret of Quran to reach to the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) who is going to be here soon.
NO QUESTIONING IN THE GRAVE
As for anyone who is related to Moulana Sheikh Nazim as a mureed the Angel of Death, Israel (alai) will have nothing to do with him. The soul of this mureed at the time of his death will be taken by Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He shall look at the mureed and immediately the soul of that mureed will leave his body. There is nothing for either the Angel of Death or for the Angels of the Grave to do with the mureeds of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. This is because it has been so ordered and it is by the Divine Power of Allah Almighty which has been given to him that Moulana Sheikh Nazim is so empowered. This is specially for Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
GRANTS GIVEN TO MOULANA SHEIKH NAZIM
Moulana Sheikh Nazim has been given the grant that when in a lecture he speaks of the ranks of the Prophets or the Auliya all the people who sit with him at this lecture will also be dressed in these same ranks as these Prophets and Auliya that Moulana Sheikh Nazim speaks of. It is for this reason that Moulana often talks in his lectures of Prophets and Auliya so that he is able to dress these ranks to all those who sit and listen to his lectures.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim also speaks about bad deeds when he addresses people in his lectures. The one who listens to this lecture shall not be asked of any bad deed or sin that Moulana happens to mention in the course of this lecture. He does not mention these bad deeds to stop the mureeds from doing them, but in order to take away his bad deeds or sins. He then puts his mureed in his Mercy Oceans then he throws them into the Mercy Oceans of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and finally into the Mercy Oceans of Allah Almighty.
All the bad deeds and sins concerning which Moulana speaks during the course of his lectures to the mureed will not be asked about from the mureed on the Day of Judgement. This is because Moulana Sheikh Nazim immediately makes a Shafa'ah and asks forgiveness from Allah Almighty regarding the sins and bad deeds that he has mentioned in his lecture. It is for this reason that you see Moulana Sheikh Nazim referring to so many sins and bad deeds during the course of a lecture so that he would be able to put his mureeds into his Mercy Oceans.
Do not look at Moulana Sheikh Nazim as you see him, as a body with his bodily functions of eating, drinking and sitting with you. Instead look at his other face, the face that is related to Allah Almighty and to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This other face of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the Spiritual and Divine Power that is controlling all the Universes which include all the worlds of humanity, all the worlds of Jinn and all the worlds of Angels. All of them have been given to Moulana and he shall return all of them to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to Allah Almighty as they were given to him. He shall return all of them cleansed, without sins or bad deeds.
Moulana is not going to say by way of excuse that this particular person or that, was taken away from him by Shaitan. No, he is not going to say that. He is going to return all of them pure as they were given to him. Regarding this Moulana says "I have been dressed by Divine Power so that I will be able to return everyone to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to Allah Almighty as they gave them to me. I shall return them without sins and without bad deeds. I shall also dress them in all ranks, highly positioned ranks, ranks that are dressed by the Auliya and give them to Allah Almighty". This is a grant and a miracle of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) said that even Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) is a follower and a student of Moulana Sheik Nazim because without the channel of Moulana Sheikh Nazim the secret of the Quran which has been passed down from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Abu Bakr as Siddique (Ral), and from him right down the Golden chain of Succession of the Naqshbandi Tariqat to Moulana Sheikh Nazim, cannot enter into the heart of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). Moulana Sheikh Nazim is going to teach Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) the knowledge of the Secret of the Quran. In this respect Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) is student of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the key of the Secret of the Quran and he is the one who is going to plant this secret in the hearts of people.
ENDLESS HORIZONS
For many years Moulana Sheikh Nazim has been planting this Secret which is the Secret of the Quran in the hearts of all those who have left this Dunya and are now in Barzakh. Presently, Moulana Sheikh Nazim is planting this Secret in the hearts of the living people. To do this Moulana Sheikh Nazim goes out of his body every night. All the bodies which has a soul in them gather in front of Moulana and he plants the Secret of the Quran in them. This is one of Moulana's duties till the coming of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
After the coming of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) and in the days of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) he will give the knowledge of the Secret of the Quran to selected people while he will let everyone else to know certain aspects of the Secret of the Quran. Moulana will give power also to some of his followers and certain people with him.
If one knows the Secret of the Quran and someone was to ask him about the sun, for example, he would be able to command the sun "come here" and the reality of the Sun shall come to him and he would be able to explain it to all the people who are sitting with him. If he wanted to explain to them about the moon, all he would have to do is to ask the moon to come to him and he would be able to explain to them about the moon which will appear in front of him by the Divine Power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Sheik Adnan relates that once when he was in Mecca making Tawaf with Moulana Sheikh Nazim a person with a long beard came up to Moulana Sheikh Nazim, kissed his hand and continued to do Tawaf with Moulana. Moulana Sheikh Nazim then told those who were present with him on that occasion that this person was Khidr (alai) and that he had come specially to kiss Moulana's hand and to perform Tawaf with him.
Sheik Adnan also relates that on another occasion when he was performing Tawaf around the Ka'aba with Moulana Sheikh Nazim a very old man came up to Moulana, kissed him, spoke to him and performed Tawaf with Moulana. Thereafter this old man disappeared without a trace. When Moulana was asked as to who this old man was, he answered that this man was one of the sons of the Adam before our Adam (alai).
There have been 124,000 Adams in all, with their sons of which our Adam (alai) was the last. This was one of the sons of the Adam before our Adam and he had come to kiss Moulana's hand and to perform Tawaf with Moulana because he had had this promise on the Day of promises and that it was written in the Divine Tablet. Moulana as the Khaliphatullah of this time and as the representative of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during this time is not only for us but also for all the Adams and their sons who came before us. He is the communicator who connects them with the world of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim says that in comparison with the number of People in the other worlds, the people of this world are nothing. There are so many of them, Moulana says, that compared to the Sohbet (association) that he makes with the people in these other worlds and other Universes, the people in this Earth are so few.
Everyday the one who sits with Moulana constantly improves. He feels that his knowledge increases daily. This gets better and better until he reaches a stage where he will have nothing to do with himself. Instead of himself he will see Moulana Sheikh Nazim. When this happens Moulana immediately takes them and puts them in the cave with Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) as they are so powerful it is not possible for the other people of the Earth to bear them.
All that has been written here about Moulana Sheikh Nazim is very little in comparison to what he really is because the contents above are only a small part of the knowledge's available about him. Apart from this fact there is also the reason that it is not possible for the human mind to grasp and comprehend the reality of the rank of the Sultan ul Auliya. Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the possessor of this rank in our age. This is why Moulana says, "No one really knows me. All that they know about me are only some aspects of me".
May Allah Almighty Bless Moulana Sheik Nazim!

Purpose of Creation

Sheik Nazim

THE PURPOSE OF CREATION
and
THE OCEANS OF BEAUTY

Allah Almighty has said through His Holy Words:
I was a Hidden Treasure and I loved Myself to be known so I created this whole creation that it may know Me.

Pay heed to these words for although this is a brief statement, through it the Creator explains much about Himself, His Creation and the purpose of life. He says that He was, is and always will be a Hidden Treasure, a treasure without limits, and that He willed a creation into being, worthy of receiving endless grants of His Knowledge. Such a Lord may grant endlessly, but even such munificence does not mean that His creatures have encompassed any part of His Reality. We are fortunate to pertain to such a Creator and to glorify One whose Majesty is eternal and limitless, whose grants, described to us in their differing aspects, as Power, Beauty, Mercy, Wisdom, Knowledge and Penetrating Will, are constantly renewed so that our souls imbide ever fresh and invigorating refreshment.
Man was created in the heavenly realm, and then he and his wife were sent to live on earth. Allah Almighty sent man into his abode of temporality, but He sent paradise with him. Who was paradise for Adam? – Eve. If the Lord had not sent our mother Eve with out father Adam, he would have exploded like a bomb, but he was able to console himself and find happiness, even in his abode of suffering, with his wife.
When Adam came to this earth, his Lord sent the knowledge of the Heavenly Realm with him – the very memory of it as a reality. Adam was empowered to establish a spiritual transmission to his descendents, but it soon became necessary to endow another man with a direct glimpse of that reality, so Seth was chosen as a recipient of prophetic revelation, and his spiritual power became a tributary to the original stream established by Adam. But, in fact, Seth received doubly, as what he inherited from Adam was then also his, as well as what he received directly. Then came Enoch (Idries), and in succeeding generations one-hundred and twenty four thousand Prophets were granted direct revelation streams to feed into the, by then huge river of Divine Light coming to them from earlier Prophets.
Some people may ask why Allah Almighty sent so many Prophets. Our Lord sent them because He loves to grant His servants gifts from His Divine Knowledge, Beauty, Mercy, Wisdom, Power and Penetrating Will endlessly, as He said, He wants and loved to make Himself known.
And even though the succession of prophet hood has spiraled to a climax, first with the advent of Jesus Christ, and then with the mission of the Seal of Prophets, Muhammed, (Peace be upon them all), whose duty it was to establish Divine Light throughout the world in a unified, universal way not possible in the earlier stages of the development of mankind, don’t think that access to Divine Knowledge is cut off. Never! The Prophets of God have always been the leaders of spiritually illuminated people on earth, those who have been given the task of guiding initiates and mankind at large. Every one of them brought spiritual energy to this world, energy which did not leave this realm when they did, but remained as a beacon of light through the obscurity of this life. This light is not, as it were, unembodied, but incorporated in at least one spiritual heir in every period of human history.
If a person seeks truth, Allah will lead him to such a beacon, to a meeting with an inheritor of a Prophet, whose particular guidance qualities suit his potentialities. These Inheritors are connected spiritually with the Prophet whom they represent, and, consequently, when you meet them and are prepared to receive the transmission, you may receive a “photocopy” in your spiritual body and establish direct contact with that Prophet – you will be invited to his assembly.
Once Moses was in Mount Sinai conversing with his Lord, and addressed Him, saying “Oh my Lord, have any of your servants been honoured with such intimate discourse as I have?” The Lord replied: Oh Moses, have a look around you”. Moses looked around and saw the whole valley filled with Moses, all with long beards and staffs, looking at him as he looked back at them in amazement. Then the Lord addressed him: “Oh Moses, this is only a selection: there are more, but I only show you this small group to give you an idea of what power I have sent through you to the world.” He is Almighty Allah, certainly it is no great thing for Him to grant those who sincerely want to be like Moses, and follow in his footsteps, a spiritual power that emanates from Allah but to them through Moses.
During the Night Journey of the Prophet Muhammed and his ascension to the seven heavens, the Angel Gabriel accompanied him part of the way, though the seven heavens, but at a certain point stayed back in awe of the radiance of the Divine Countenance, fearing to approach further lest he burn. The Holy Prophet then ventured on alone and was shown by his Lord a huge gathering of people, also identical to himself, and the Lord told him: “These are the Saints of your Nation and My servants:
“And no one knows the armies
of the Lord except Him”.
“Whose steps in your footsteps will partake
of your honour and light.”

Therefore, a Grandsheikh sitting with his murids must be a means for those murids to attain light from the Prophet whom that Grandsheikh represents. It is impossible for a Grandsheikh to leave even the weakest of his murids without a share of that power, so that he should attain to the same degree and honour as his Grandsheikh.
We have waded into an ocean of deep and secret knowledge, and as it is secret we are being signaled back to shore by the “lifeguard” lest we all drown.

The End
