Sufism and Zen

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Well I've just changed over from one counter to another. These guys seem much more intelligent and helpful..(maybe I should put the counter with ad on for them?) .. There are loads of advantages..for instance that one can put a new counter on each blog/site without having to have a different log in name and all that for each one.. also the opportunity to block your own IP address and therefore not log up your own hits when you visit .. change colours and styles..re-set numbers ..etc and this is just for beginners like me! There are a lot of other features for getting statistics back about visitors which I'll look into and learn asI go along,as and when I need them.
He/It is in control.. no need to worry ..

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Some of you may have noticed that I have put a counter on the site..I just wanted to see if anyone ever visits (apparently they do)..It does make a difference wether one is being read or not.I know that sounds obvious to the point of silliness to some of you but,I have been one of those people who hesitate to state a point of view too dogmatically because I am so aware that all points of view have their validity.
Really that is what brought me to sufism..and from sufism to Islam.
Of course I now find myself in the position have being obliged to take a point of view and even defend it .. which I am not too fond of..
Below is the text of,first,a comment in reply to another comment on my ONENESS blog, and then, that included in an e.mail to Mike ..who made this comment ....
Mike said...
True oneness only comes from knowing the One True God. He is not Allah, but exists as a Triune God who sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ, the "God Man" that we recognize who God is and "find" our Path to God. Repent and believe in Jesus Christ! For it is He who said, "No man comes to the Father but by me!" This is Truth....

I then replied,

Uthman said...
Mike,I hadn't noticed your comment there until now.I don't know how much point there is in discussing this .. we both agree that,as you say "oneness comes from knowing the One True God.." perhaps you can(or can't) accept that Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship The One True God as taught by their respective prophets.Muslims love and respect Jesus Christ as one of Allah's prophets(the penultimate) we know him as "Ruh Allah" or Spirit of Allah. We believe in the virgin birth, we believe in and respect the Virgin Mary as the best woman ever created (as taught by the Koran)..We are eagerly awaiting the return of Jesus Christ who will join with Al Mahdi at the end of time to fight the Dajaal or anti-Christ and beat him and usher in the new spiritual age we are all so looking forward to.However we do not believe in the crucifixion as we can never accept that Allah would allow such a thing to happen to one of his beloved prophets. We believe that he was "Taken up" to heaven and has never died..and for this reason he is returning to finish his work here on earth. Many Muslims also believe that St Paul (who you will remember never even met Jesus) was largely responsible for the introduction of the Trinity .. a huge blasphemy which Jesus certainly never taught. The only gospel actually written while Jesus was alive, and therefore much closer to his actual message, is that of Barnabas, a sincere disciple and friend of Pauls who pleaded with the other disciples to allow Paul to be accepted among them and afterwards was pushed out by Paul back to Cyprus where he was stoned to death while Paul foisted his Triune theory on some Greeks he wanted to convert...!Enough?You can read Barnabas's gospel if you like..it has been rescued from where it was hidden in the bosom of the Catholic Church and now published .. It is available on Amazon.Sorry if I'm a little blunt ..space and time impose themselves.
That's what I wrote back in the heat of the moment.I can only say I stick by it but,(now that I've calmed down a bit) I just want to add that I'm open to discussion ..in fact I think that that is what blogs and the internet should be about. Also I am very interested in communication between Muslims and Christians as I come from a family where five generations of my father's side were Anglican priests and my father left the church and I found Islam through the sufi way.
The sufi way is the mystic way within Islam and I have always thought that mysticism is the place where all spiritual people and believers must meet because the true experience of God..or unity with Him..(the soul re-uniting with its source while still in this life we might say) .. is common to all religions and paths and can (or should) transcend differences of dogmatic beliefs.
How often has it been seen that men will kill each other in the name of God and (ridiculously enough) the same God with a different name.Submission to the One God is the message of all the prophets from Adam to Muhammad and it is crazy that Muslims Christians and Jews should fight when they have a common grandfather in Abraham (Khalil Ibrahim as he is known to the Muslims,or The Friend of God.)
So lets not get hooked up on nomenclature and see if at least one Muslim and one Christian can discuss reasonably without fighting ..and perhaps make Abraham and the other prophets happy with us!
Yours sincerely, Uthman/Gregory Collins.

Anyway,I've realised two things..one..my personal conflict over the dogma/unity thing and .. two..my desire to get a discussion and understanding going between groups from different faiths.
Either this will start to occur here through blogging..or..I may have to start a group or forum..
We'll see, ..Meanwhile ..I .. noticed that the counter said 66,which,some of you will know,is the number of Allah through the adjdab numerological system applied to the arabic letters of His name.
It made me aware that He is aware, even of this blog! (no matter how many people visit it,it is awareness of Him that matters most..and sincerity with Him ..)

Silly thing is it's us that are getting the ride with him (not the other way round.) ..but it just made an amusing caption seeing that he was in such a jolly mood that day.

Allah al Hay al Qadir.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

I want to thank and praise my Lord (al Rab) for His gift to me this morning..of what it is like to have real faith in Him as The Living God (al Hay) and The Absolute Boss of Everything. Al Qadir. (Wa huwa aliquli shayin qadir).

I just felt it and believed it for the first time this morning. It has always been difficult for me to believe in a living or "personal" God ...but I do believe I am becoming a believer at long last ..
My belief has always been somewhat intellectual..believing in an Absolute ..(perhaps as opposed to a relative .. but hopefully really including all the relative)
.. but it has been difficult for me to believe in a warm caring loving living God..
Somehow it was a rather cold intellectual God...
Hip hip Hooray! ..thankYou Allah for that piece of generosity with me..

I think I am becoming Muslim for real now.

Almighty God Allah Who is The Living Absolute Boss of Everything.

Somehow words do not express what I felt (and hope so much I may be able to continue to feel.. .... yep! ... it's still there!)

I also recognised that all my hope and fear are in Him Almighty, and that this is how it should be.. the heart of the believer is between the Two Fingers of Allah ...Qalb, or heart in arabic, has the meaning"that which changes" included in it...and .. that my love is for Him also.(when all is He anyway how can that not be so?)
As that wonderful line from a Morroccan sufi put it..

" Put on the sandals of hope and fear and take the staff of love in your hand."

and now..for what I picked off www.sufismus-online.de

A Hidden Secret.

We believe in Holy Books, it is what we base our knowledge on. Everything else is theory without a foundation, usually produced by our imagination. Theories normally do not become realities because they are a production of our minds. This is why that which comes from Holy Books is our reality. It cannot be changed.
Mind productions cannot satisfy our souls. Our souls want something else. They will only be content if we say that the Creator who created everything was a Hidden Secret Who created His servants so that He may be known. He gave us the chance to be honoured through our Divine Service. This is what all Holy Books tell us. It is the purpose of our creation.
The rules of the seen and the unseen world are the same. Everything is aware of their Creator. Atoms know and are praising their Creator, but mankind through his will power has the highest level and can be closest to the Divine Presence. This grant is given to prophets, to Holy People and to real believers. Allah created me so that I can know Him, love Him, glorify Him and give Him my highest respect.

So,I suppose now I am going to find everything the Sheikh has said perfect and true with a renewed vigour?
I am trying to have the confidence in Blogger to edit posts so that things come out in the right order, instead of just creating a new post every time.(A bit nervy because ..well,you know .. internet, blogging, and all that..not totally reliable is it really? .. but then, what's totally reliable except Allah .. and even He can decieve if He wants? aaargh!)

A word about Sohbet.

This is Hadith Qudsi, Arabs may understand: Allah Almighty is saying: 'I am only that One who should be praised and thanked and I am looking from My servants to give their thanks and praise to Me. I am not happy with those who don't give their praise and thanks to Me, and I am saying to them: 'Look another God for you, or Manifestor or Creator'. You may look.
'And also I am that One who is testing His servants, and I am free to test My servants as I like. They may be big tests or very simple tests- it is for Me. I may try My servants, their beliefs and their power through their beliefs. And I must try them. If they get angry and unhappy with Me, they may look for another Rabb, Manifestor, Creator for them, and they may run to Him.
And also I am that One who gives to everyone his destination. I am not asking any idea from anyone, no. I am that One who may arrange everyone's destination as I like. If anyone from My servants is getting unhappy with their destination, they may look another God, Manifestor, and may run to him.'
Who is not happy with Him - get out of this world! Think for whom you are living, what you are doing 24 hours. This is an association, a sohba. The Sheikh or his deputy opens a market, and who comes is free to choose and take and to buy. Some people come and look and don't take anything. The Sheikh sells, and you are free to take or not. This is a sohba, an offering to you, but: No force in religion!
Sohba is for training, to take you from the lowest to the highest, and so the Makam of the Sahaba comes after the Prophet. Not even the Awliya come before them.
A donkey always stays a donkey and he is praising Allah and thanking Him for his existence and his perfection- the perfection of a donkey. He is fulfilling his function. But man, whose duty is to serve Allah 24 hours a day, doesn't fulfil his duty; people don't work for Allah, but occupy themselves with malayani, the service for Dunya...

Adab,soul of knowledge.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

This is what I have been needing although my stupid old donkey of an ego does not want to accept it.

Adab is the soul of knowledge Don’t look down upon anything or anyone... The ego only loves itself. It is Kafir, not accepting Allah, and it wants to be sitting alone on the Throne. The Holy Prophet said: "Allah Himself has taught me the best manners, Adab."
A human being is living through his soul, and the soul of knowledge is Adab. Knowledge without Adab is a misfortune for its owner. Shaitan had knowledge, but he had no Adab, behaving badly in Allah’s Presence, and then he was finished. Always the ego is bad-mannered, going against Allah, denying Him. It never likes to be under the control of anyone. All our egos are the same. We have to bring it under control, and train it to become Allah’s servant, and not be controlled by the ego.
Allah is not forcing anyone. Not everybody can keep his ego, and they are falling from one trouble into the next, never finding any rest or peace. Man needs, and must learn Adab. It is not easy to teach Adab. Someone may read hundreds or thousands of books, but he may not be able to control his ego. He may have knowledge, but he can’ t practice it. Shaitan had so much knowledge, and it didn’t benefit him. And everybody in our time wants to study, and they all fail the test...
And someone may go on Hajj, he may stay 4o days, make Hajj, Umrah, Ziyaret and become clean. Everything seems perfect. But then he gets on the plane home and he looks to a stewardess with desire, and everything is lost, finished... Six months, one year he stayed there, so many prayers he did, Tawafs, Umrahs, everything is good. But then, for one moment he doesn’t control his ego, forgetting that Allah is looking to him, forgetting and being without Allah, and Shaitan makes him from his staff...
Don’t give a chance to Shaitan, because he is always looking for an opportunity to catch people. There is Haram and Halal. Whoever is not respecting that border falls out of Adab with Allah. Few people want to save themselves from their bad-mannered ego. Tariqats and the four Madhabs are based on Adab, and that is why Shaitan is against them, because they are against his school. His school is the fifth Madhab, the school of Batil. So many people follow it... May Allah not leave us in the hands of our bad ego. Whoever is not asking that will be caught by Shaitan.
Your ego is telling you that you are number one, that nobody is like you. It is telling you that you don’t have to listen to anyone, that you are strong and know everything, that you are your own Sheikh. And the ego is lying to us.
What we are saying here is what they have put in our hearts, and we are ashamed in front of Allah and fearing Him because we are such ignorant ones, making so many mistakes and bad-mannered actions. Who is the Sheikh? He is that one who teaches you about Allah and His Prophet. How you can know by yourself? But they don’t want to accept a teacher, these Wahabi people. And whoever doesn’t accept a Sheikh, a Hoca, an Imam, a guide, Dalil, his teacher is Shaitan. He is telling them: "Why do you need a Sheikh?"
Follow a pure guide, that he may take you to purity because only pure ones will enter Paradise... Allah knows best who are the hypocrites... We are trying, working on it, asking to be clean. But: "Thumma amanu, thumma kafaru..." sometimes we believe and sometimes not, listening to our ego and Shaitan. On the way of faith, Iman, you can be saved...
And the Angels of the Grave will ask you if your face is turned to Dunya or towards Maula, Allah. They will ask you what is your Qibla, to where is your heart directed? If they find your face turned towards Allah, everything is good. But if they find your face turned away from Him, then Allah will also turn away from you. If in prayer you turn your eyes away from the place of Sajda, looking left and right three times, then Allah is saying: "My servant has turned away from Me. Leave him..." This is an important point in Adab... Don’t behave badly in the Presence of the Sultan...
May Allah forgive us and not throw us out of the Ummat-i-Muhammadi sws... Fatiha.
On the bridge to Eternity. Sheikh Nazim al Haqqani.

First Cause/secondary causes.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

On the authority of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhaniyy RA who said:

The Messenger of Allah PBUH led the morning prayer for us at al-Hudaybiyah following rainfall during the night. When the Prophet PBUH finished,he faced the people and said to them:
Do you know what your Lord has said ? They said Allah and His Messenger know best.He said: This morning one of my servants became a believer in Me and one a disbeliever. As for him who said:We have been given rain by virtue of Allah and His Mercy, that one is a believer in Me,a disbeliever in the stars; and as for him who said:We have been given rain by such and such a star , that one is a disbeliever in Me ,a believer in the stars.

Hadith Qudsi; Bukhari, Malik and Nasai.

I was going to go into a long thing about this ..but I am so tired now after more than five hours on here that I will leave it.
Let the hadith speak for itself!

Early morning roam on the net.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Having a little roam around on the net since about five o-clock.Worked a lot in the garden yesterday and tired myself out .. went to bed and, having woken up early wanted to do my isha prayer.Used EFT to overcome my normal head-turning-and-not-doing-anything style ..and prayed.
As usual, after a bit of dhikr, went to the old lappie .First looked at some general stuff under Life after death ...I'll put some links on later ..anyway,came up with this.

24th April 2005. 07.15.Hrs. Orgiva.

"You must try to join your powers with each other. Don't be alone. We know through traditional knowledge, that if a person is alone he will not be able to reach Holy Power, but if 40 persons join, they will reach it. Holy Power is more important than all of technology. It can move it back. It is like 40 taps. If each one runs by itself, it will never even make a mill stone turn, 40 will. So these good people who want to help and heal people must be at least 40 all together then their power will be joined by a Heavenly Power. Heavenly Power means, the power of a Holy Person. Men or women, but it has to be 40. If they move all together, their spiritual power will be able to help people."

Part of a sohbet given by Sheikh Nazim. found here . (It's the one called "An enlightened spiritually powered 21st Century."

Thoughts about actions (!) … something in that lecture this morning, roaming around in Life After Death stuff. The lecturer talked about how matter is inert ..that is it cannot do anything or change on its own.It needs energy or an outside force in order to change.
He said that all energy takes place in the spaces in between the atoms..It reminded me very much of Sheikh’s talk on Al Samad, Allah’s name, sometimes translated as The Eternal Support of All, being what is in between the atoms and what, essentially, holds the whole of the universe of forms together ..Which also reminds me of the place in the Koran where Allah says to Muhammad PBUH, Look and look again, your sight will come back to you amazed, you will find no crack or fissure in it.
Allahu Akbar!
God, The Greatest of all , or,God,The Greater, because He is always greater than anything else but Him..and .. in reality, there is nothing but Him! It is only our thinking and dualistic minds which cause us to think of ‘other than Him’ which is a logical impossibility ..and really is pure shirk or association “Wherever you look there is His face.”

The thing about inert matter ..and the fact that nothing is known or seen until there is energy or movement ... together with the stuff about forty people's energy kind of came together in my brain to convince me about action..the necessity of action in order for effects to be seen.In other words there is no real proof of one's faith for instance,if there is no action, either individually in the form of prayers and dhikr and koran reading and such,or comunally in getting together with others for worship.

They are such simple things really ..but somehow my brain has to be convinced..otherwise,for instance,I tend to feel it is just O.K. to believe and have faith, without actually physically worshipping.Of course the opposite is underlined by the famous hadith qudsi in which there is the proof of sufism.

"Allah the Almighty has said:Whosoever shows enmity to a friend of Mine,I shall be at war with him.My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved by me than the religious duties I have imposed upon him,and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me,I would surely give it to him;and were he to ask Me for refuge,I would surely grant it to him. (It was related by al-Bukhari.)

This hadith and this way of being, displayed by our Sheikh,Sheikh Nazim al Haqqani ... and of which the highest example was the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and all his family and friends ....is also the proof of and the link to the 'direct knowledge' which Imam al Ghazzali helped to champion and explain to the orthodox and more 'exterior' Muslims.
What most of us tend to do..(and myself obviously included) is what Sheikh reminds us of when he uses a traditional saying .."Taking ten books to make an eleventh one."
I am so aware of this, this morning..and again a bit popped up by destiny (not by chance) ..where Sheikh was talking about this when Omar was looking at the bible and old texts and he told him "Leave that ya Omar .. ..why are looking there when I am bringing new fresh knowledge ?"

In the same way that the Prophets who were the most dedicated to God Almighty Allah brought revelation ..so the saints who are the next most dedicated to Allah after them..bring inspiration, called "wahy" in arabic.

The more faith we can have in our Sheikh and the more belief in his connection to the Divine, the more we can benefit from it.

Great .. now I want to look at that place where it showed that one could, with a little bit of copying and pasting some HTML..make a permanent picture at the top of a blog..for instance this one with a picture of Sheikh..(I've just lost them all with the hard disk..but no matter .. I was just starting really..and I can get them all again I think.)

Subhanallah! Ibn Arabi.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Allahu Akbar! ..Ibn Arabi..helping to bring back my faith in That One..Hoo!..

How much he knows..(how much more he knows than say..Nisargadatta..)..How do you express that thing in writing, where one turns down the corners of the mouth and shrugs one's shoulders..indicating.."well..there,I've said it.. I know it was a bit rough and not quite appropriate in present company.." the head kind of dips as if one was about to recieve a reprimanding slap on the back of the head from one's teacher/The Almighty.. for impertinenece..and yet..somehow..somehow..well,I just had to say it.
Despite the fact that the gnostic ..etc etc etc ..

All is He ...& that includes ...me.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Trying to sit,in the early hours of the morning and carefully define the difference between human and divine self.Trying to find a way to dis-identify with the human part and identify with the divine part..Allah sent Bilquis..(or can I say Allah manifested in the shape of Bilquis) to change the course of things so that I should get Ibn Arabi's book "Lubb al Lubb>" which was lying on my bedside table, where I had left it and didn't want to disturb her by getting it.
First of all he goes through the seven levels that the nafs goes through until it reaches complete non-existence..and then he reminds us that Allah is everywhere..and is everything..both interior and exterior. He even says, which I have always wanted to believe..and would like to have asked Sheikh about..."that from every particle or stem to the greatest mass,God(al Haqq) is manifested with all His Qualities and Names."....and that"this manifestation is according to the understanding and belief of each person. In each place and in each station He shows a different face."

Hey! Hay! Hoh! Hu! Haq! Aaaaaahhh! Mmmmmm!
Thank You.

Of course in some way this statement includes me..though really I feel far to unclean to say so openly..even to myself.Which is where EFT and Nisargadatta come in in helping to dis-identify from that bundle of memories and emotions which one tends to identify as oneself .. manifested in a bodily form..it's all He .. but it's not a seperate solid me.

The statement that He manifests with all His Qualities and Names ..also helps to understand that expression in the Koran.."Wherever you look, there is his face."..at another level than just the obvious one, becaue when one looks up the word "wajh" or face in arabic it also has the meaning 'personality' and 'essence'.

Ibn Arabi then goes on to give the example of the sufi tale of the blind men who wanted to know what an elephant was like and on being allowed to visit one they all touched it in a different place so that the one who held the ear thought it was like a huge leaf, the one who held the trunk thoughta it was like a pipe..the one who held the leg thought it was like a column the one who clasped the belly thought it was like a barrel and the one who grasped the tail thought it was like a rope..
He uses the story to show how the gnostic (who really knows Allah) cannot hold on to any one particular form of belief.. and that this state belongs to those who's belief is imitation... and is their prison.

Nisargadatta,helping to reveal The Truth.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

One word may convey several and even contradictory meanings. The "I am" that pursues the pleasant and shuns the unpleasant is false; the "I am" that sees pleasure and pain as inseparable sees rightly. The witness that is enmeshed in what he perceives is the person; the witness who stands aloof, unmoved and untouched is the watch-tower of the real, the point at which awareness, inherent in the unmanifested, contacts the manifested.

Nisargadatta.. ..isn't he just fantastic..? Isn't he the best? !
What need to expand this? Just read it again and let it sink in.

A Sufi Message of Spiritual Liberty

Just trying out a new feature which I have just added to my little blogging set up ..As my friend Tom Richardson has joined the Sufi Order International ..I thought I'd put this on the blog. A Sufi Message of Spiritual Liberty

Ibn Arabi ..on ONENESS

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Have a look at what I've just copied out on ONENESS .. ... But I'm going to put it on here now anyway (24.4'05)

Bismi'llah arRahman arRahim. There is no refuge from Allah but in Him.

After explaining that there is really nothing in existence except Allah..and therefore there is nothing to know Him except Himself by Himself through Himself .... Ibn Arabi says .."And for this the Prophet PBUH said:"Whoso knoweth himself knoweth his Lord." And he said PBUH "I know my Lord by my Lord."The Prophet PBUH points out by that that thou art not thou:thou art He,without thou;not He entering into thee, nor thou entering into Him,nor He proceeding forth from thee, nor thou proceeding forth from Him.And it is not meant by that, that thou art ought that exists or thine attributes ought that exists, but it is meant by it that thou never wast nor will be,wether by thyself or through Him or in Him or along with Him.Thou art neither ceasing to be nor still existing.Thou art He, without one of these limitations. Then if thou know thine existence thus, then thou knowest God;and if not, then not."

Perfect! Posted by Hello

The Only Reality.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

There is only one reality and that is Allah.Allah is one and He is The One.Everything else comes from The One ,when it splits and becomes two.All the reality which we know is set up in Duality. It is an illusion, not real Reality. The object of sufism is to try to remember this at all times and try to be with The One and not the two.
Everything that we become attached to in this life is illusory and set up in duality,it must always come to an end and must always cause pain and disappointment. The only thing that is Real(which is no thing at all) is Allah.Beyond our imaginations and beyond our minds which work in duality with dualistic concepts.
This understanding of things has beem around as longas man..it is programmed into the yeast of his being and it is his job and duty to re-discover this truth and then try to find it and live it in his life and actions.
In the I Ching it says ,first there was the One and then there were two,and from the two came the myriad things(or the ten thousand things).
The understanding that God or Allah is beyond any concepts has been understood for a long time too.Witness the Tao te King .."The Tao which can be named is not the real Tao."
That'll do..sounds so simple..is so simple really,just very,very difficult!

The One and the Many.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

All human cultures in some way have to deal with accounting for the myriad of objects and phenomena surrounding them. We live in a world of infinite objects that are constantly changing, yet even in this imposing world of objects and change, there seems to be an underlying unity and stability. For instance, every human being begins as an infant and then grows into an adult. Every adult is a different object than they were as an infant—in fact, they are unrecognizable as being the same object. Yet we recognize that the are the same object , that something has remained the same even though the infant has changed into an object that is nowhere close to its original state. Likewise a corpse is nothing like the original living human being, but we still recognize that something has remained constant. We can see the same stability and constancy even across objects. While the world is full of trees, there is still some constancy and stability to "treeness" which never seems to change. This observation of the world of phenomena leads many cultures to believe that the infinity of things and their changes can ultimately be related back to a single object, material, or idea. The problem of finding the one thing that lies behind all things in the universe is called the problem of the one and the many. Basically stated, the problem of the one and the many begins from the assumption that the universe is one thing. Because it is one thing, there must be one, unifying aspect behind everything. This aspect could be material, such as water, or air, or atoms. It could be an idea, such as number, or "mind." It could be divine, such as the Christian concept of God or the Chinese concept of Shang-ti, the "Lord on High." The problem, of course, is figuring out what that one, unifying idea is.
General Glossary
Philosophy
Philosophy in the Western world begins with this question; the earliest Greek philosophers mainly concerned themselves with this question. As a result, the problem of the one and the many still dominates Western concepts of the universe, including modern physics, which has set for itself the goal of finding the theory that will "unify" (unify means "make into one thing") the laws of physics.
In China, the one thing that unifies the universe is the tai chi, or Great Ultimate. The Great Ultimate is divided into two opposite forces (yang and yin) and five material agents. Beyond this, the Great Ultimate is undefined. In Taoism, the "way" or Tao constitutes this Great Ultimate; it is equally undefined.

Is that because...?

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.
Is that because ... ay! what a phrase! what a waste of time .. all but Allah is philosophy ...
"Say 'Allah' and leave them to their plunging."

(You know it makes sense folks!)

Allah. ..... Allah ..... Allah ..... Alllah .... Allllaaah!

I wonder

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

I wonder if this blog is having as much difficulty publishing as the others?

At la-a-a-st!

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.
So-o-o-o ... it's back! Joder tio! What a relief. At the moment it is literally nearly all I've got. Anyway,Safar's nearly over and maybe by Monday we may be able to start a bit of work. The good thing about today's breakdown was that it sent me round other sites .. I mean mainly blogs and blogger's forums etc and gave me a bit of a view of what is happening in this world out there on the net.
I was ... one moment .. this should be going in Personal Stuff really ..(Blogger broke down just as I was setting it up this morning.) ..I'm going to post this and then see what I can do about that.

Another post now, just to make sure that there really is no need to be paranoid here.(because the last post with 'that' link, wont let me write any more.)So I'll just try to say here(in the wrong order as usual!). That..maybe it is true that those planes couldn't have caused the damage they were supposed to have done, and that it would have required strategically placed explosives,to do it.That maybe the terrorists could have done that too,but it seems very unlikely and,for sure there were all sorts of vested interests and the whole thing stinks, but that is enough for now..it's no good 'poking the pooh' any more!

Another 'accidental' link in Google images.

Another thing I came across in Google Images, while looking for 'action' photos this time, was this. . Take a look if you like.Yet another bit of pretty hard evidence for what we've all suspected all along ..(despite the fact that Sheikh Nazim says that Bush and Blair were given sainthood for what they did in Iraq!).
I don't normally want to 'go there' when it comes to conspiracy theories and anyway one is very aware of the fact that anyone can be 'registered' any time (look what happened to poor old Dr Hamer for discovering how to cure cancer, which might have affected what is a huge business ... etc etc )
It is pretty dangerous to get political these days, that is if one gets anywhere near the truth ... unless one is either a little guy like me who poses no threat to anyone,or can be written off as a nutcase if it is someone like David Ike.
It is Safar,an unlucky month, but ..hey .. we should still keep our heads open shouldn't we?

Mission statement and photos for my other blog?

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Here's a pic which I came across looking for "philosophy" images in Google.Didn't seem a bad thing as a kind of 'mission statement' for EFT..at least my EFT!
Wanted to send it,and other pics (almost comical some of them somehow) of the tapping points to "EFT Stuff." But it seems either impossible,or a bit complicated..Either I'll work it out or they will.Slight disappointment for now.
