The Bush Regime and World Politics in the light of Destiny.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Taken from "Sex Power and Money." my blog on www.blogladder.com

Here it is again folks. The comment that became a post. This time as a reply to stuff on Debbe's blog.
I'm wary of saying this, especially about a situation that is hurting so much and in a country which is not my own. However, for a while the posts on B.L. were really getting me going and upsetting me a lot over the Bush regime and it's local and world-wide effects.
Recently ,as you may have noticed, I have been making more excursions into Advaita Vedanta in the Hindu pantheon. The general view from Ramesh Balsekar, it's most recent publicly known exponent, is that in fact everything is destined or pre-programmed from the Divine Source. In the sufi spiritual path that I follow there are the five basic pillars of Islam and then there is what Sheikh Nazim calls the sixth pillar. It is Qadr, or destiny.
I am not saying give up or shut up or turn a blind eye .. but wisdom demands that one realise that this is what is happening wether one likes it or not. My only relief from the anger and frustration was in realising that all of this is part of the destiny of our present world. It is part of the plot of the great world drama and we must look to try and see and understand what is being played out here.
What is obvious is, that despite all the patent awareness of the glaring faults of the Bush regime, no-one can do anything about it at the moment. He, or they, are just running away with the ball and it looks like they will continue to do so.We must look and try to see / decipher what is happening in God's plan.
The Sheikh has been telling us for years that there is a huge nuclear third world war around the corner. He says that this will be a cleaning for mankind in the form of fire as The Flood was in the form of water. I see his small voice in the midst of all the madness like that of Nuh (Noah) to his people when they saw him building a boat on dry land. He is just regarded as "another nut" and no one wants to know.
He says that six out of seven people will die in this war and in the end the only safe place physically will be around Damascus in an area known as "Sham".He also says that the first sign of it beginning will be a battle on a plain in Turkey between America and Russia. That doesn't seem so unlikely after all does it ?
Basically the world divides into two blocks, the old communist block and the capitalist block, or we could say, in this scenario, unbelievers and believers. The destruction will be enormous .. I see all this stuff that is happening as a part of the run up to that huge event...and .. unfortunately .. it is unstoppable because it is part of the destiny of mankind who has turned away from God and all traditional morality towards materialism and immorality or at least, amorality.
The good news is that there is safety for believers and good people and that the destruction ushers in a time when technological power ends and life on earth functions by spiritual power.
What I am saying is (although I can almost hear the replies now, and know that no one really wants to hear it) that, instead of banging one's fists uselessly on a concrete wall of Destiny and hurting oneself trying to change it, it would be wiser to turn towards God and real spirituality instead of working within a political and social system that is already so corrupt it is destined to self-destruction.

ARE YOU MAD ?

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

The most precious thing that Allah gives to people is Aql, mind. There are two kinds, one is for arranging this life on earth, and the second is heavenly, like the minds of Prophets and Awliya.* As much as we can be clean from bad character, so much is heavenly mind growing in us. Mad persons in the sight of Awliya are those persons not thinking of the hereafter. If anyone has bad characteristics, so much is he near to madness. As long as one bad character is yet with him he is written in the book of mad persons, because he is not yet governed by his mind, but by that bad character. If wrong things are coming out in speaking and acting, it is signing that we have bad character with us. If anyone is doing wrong and not feeling ashamed, he is a mad person.

* Awliya = "Friends of Allah" or saints.

From Mercy Oceans Book Two. Winter Lectures 1400 A.H. (1980 A.D.)

The Teachings of Sheikh Abdullah ad-Daghestani an-Naqshbandi (qas) as expounded by Sheikh Nazim Adil Al Qubrusi an-Naqshbandi (qas).

Mystical Truth, Islam and Tariqats.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Although I recognise the underlying unity of all mystical experience (in general I would say that Brahman/The Absolute, Tao/The Nameless, The Void/ Eternal Uncreated and Allah/His Essence, are the same thing by different names.) however, the best, most comprehensive wisest and safest and most appropriate vehicle for this eternal knowledge or Perrenial Philosophy, must be Islam as it is the last and complete message from the Divinity to mankind.

Therefore the sufi way is the best for modern man and, amongst the sufi ways or tariqats, I have to say that the Most Distinguished Naqshbandi Tariqat has to be the best, the most complete and the most powerful and quickest in taking one to the goal of annihilation (or realisation of one's nothingness and that the only Reality is Allah, Al Haq.) as it came down through Abu Bakr of whom the Prophet (pbuh) said,
"Everything Allah poured into my heart I poured into the heart of Abu Bakr." whereas the other forty tariqats come down through Sayyidina Ali, of whom the Prophet (pbuh) said, "I am the city and Ali is the gate."

It's Friday and I just had to say it. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes there .. but I was just moved to say the truth as it appears to me.

Who is this hearing through my ears? Who is this seeing through my eyes? Who is this speaking through my mouth?

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Bereft of life, bereft of knowledge, bereft of power and will, how shall I describe my state? For I do not exist, only He exists.I am deaf; the hearer is He.I am blind; the seer is He.I am mute; the orator is He.I do not exist; only He exists.-

Will the real inheritor please stand up?

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

This probably won't make me very popular in some circles (I see from the calendar that it is Tuesday today .. Shaytan's day.) However, in others it will be easily understood, and might even provide a little relief from perplexity and suffering.
I've noticed the tone getting higher and tighter on Sheikh Hisham's anti-Wahhabi campaign .. perhaps he will finally see himself in the mirror and another chunk of nafs will be knocked off.The Steven Schwartz episode has started to get a bit messy on the net too.
I saw this today and added my comments at the end.

Stephen Schwartz: Pseudologist
Pseudologist \Pseu*dol”o*gist\, n. [Gr. ?.]1. One who utters falsehoods; a liar.2. Stephen Schwartz.
First, let me say that, before today, I had never heard of Stephen Schwartz. Perhaps Allah had blessed me. Today, I happened to stumble upon an article of his declaring Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens) to be a “fundamentalist” Muslim who was rightfully barred from entering the United State.
Schwartz is most famous for his book The Two Faces of Islam: Saudi Fundamentalism and its Role in Terrorism. You can find a criticism of the book at its link.
You should also read this article that reveals much about Schwartz’s ideology, which he has apparently learned from his teacher, Hisham Kabbani, “Shaykh” of the US branch (or splinter sect) of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order (tariqa). They’ve essentially declared everyone who does not conform to their skewed interpretation of Islam to be “Wahhabi” and “extremist.” Apparently, CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, and even Hezbollah are all “Wahhabi” organizations, despite the fact that these groups bear little resemblance to organizations that claim “salafism” (claiming adherence to the teachings of Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhab), or the teachings of Saudi-Wahhabi scholars, such as the late Shaykh Ibn Baz. Hezbollah is even a shi’a group, loyal to Iran (most wahhabi/salafi scholars consider shi’a to be non-Muslims/kuffar).
Assuming Schwartz is actually Muslim, he is, at the least, committing a major sin by lying so blatantly (thus taking on the long believed to be archaic term, pseudologist). At the most, he is perpetrating a great fitna (sedition) against Islam, allying himself with the enemies of Islam, justice, and human rights. He is a charlatan who has duped numerous news sites that have lost all journalistic credibility, and has managed to convince the US government (big surprise) of his contrived nonsense.
Amir ul-Mu’minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) said: “The foolish does not advise you of good and is not expected to save you from any problem even if he does his best. Moreover, he may harm you as he intends to benefit you. His death is better than his life, his silence is better than his words, and his remoteness is better than his closeness.” — Bihar ul-Anwar; Kitab ul-Ashara 56

BismillahirRahmanirRahimAs-Salam aleikum,Keeping the details of my low opinion of Shwartz’s opinions to myself, I just wanted to inform you that Shaikh Kabbani does not control, nor does he speak for, all followers of Mawlana Shaikh Nazim an-Naqshbandi al-Haqqani el-Qibrisi, Grandsheykh of the Naqshbandi Haqqani tarikat. Much as he and his followers claim to the contrary, and true as it may have been in the 1990’s, Shaikh Kabbani has gone way out of line from the teachings of Mawlana Shaikh Nazim and the high honor with which our Grandshaikh holds Islam. Shaikh Kabbani’s influence over followers of Mawlana Shaikh Nazim in the United States and worldwide is becoming more and more limited and questionable. Please do not judge the Naqshbandi Haqqani tarikat by what you hear about and from Kabbani. As he likes to say about wahabbis, he himself has “hijacked the microphone” (of the tarikat); but he has gone his own way with a band of blind people behind him. May Allah forgive me for speaking ill of someone whom I once respected as a shaikh of the tarikat; but I speak the truth that is subtly dawning among more and more Naqshbandi Haqqanis through their own contact with Grandshaikh. Alhamdulillah.

As a long time observer of all things tariqat Naqshbandi Haqqani it is interesting to see Sheikh Hisham finally getting his “come uppance”. Not to worry it’s all part of his training for sure, and well within the hands of Sheikh Nazim, who said a long time ago that Sheikh Adnan (Sheikh Hisham’s younger brother) would be his inheritor …The Sheikh won’t leave anybody outside or unpurified, no matter how messy it gets at times.
sufibridge Says: August 15th, 2005 at 11:01 pm
As an interesting aside I was once told by A European murid close to the Sheikh that Sheikh Adnan told him the following story. He said that when a son is asking his father for a bicycle the father will often tell him “Here have a sweet, I’ll give you the bicycle tomorrow.” He said that the Sheikh had offered him America as well , but he wanted the bicycle.

I wonder if all this has anything to do with the disappearance of so much of Sheikh Hisham's web sites?
Even if he thinks he's taking them off for some reason, for sure the Sheikh has it all under control and is finally reigning him in a bit.
I heard that he was very quiet on a recent visit to Cyprus and that the Sheikh had mentioned publicly (in that way of his to teach and rip off more muck from our egos) "I thought Sheikh Hisham was coming to help me, but look how quiet he is."
As they used to say in some mystical circles.
"Those who know don't speak. Those who speak, don't know."

Short Biography of Sheikh Nazim.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Sheikh Nazim

Sheik Nazim

A SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF SHEIKH NAZIM
(IN TWO PARTS)
PART ONE
In Cypress
Sheik Nazim was born in Cypress in a sea side city called Larnaka. This city Larnaka is one of the main cities in the
island of Cypress. He was born on the 21 st day of April 1922. It was on a Sunday and according to the Islamic calendar it
was on the 26th day of Shaaban 1341 AH.
Sheik Nazim’s house was situated next to a large Zavia (mosque) in which was the Ziyaram (burial chamber) of Ummu
Hiram who was a Lady Sahaba who lived during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (sal). The Prophet (Sal) had given
good tidings about her that she would go to an island to spread Islam and that in that place she would be martyred and
be buried. This Ziyaram of Ummu Hiram is a famous place.

Sheik Nazim with his family
It was the habit of Sheik Nazim when he was very young to be found missing from his house and when everyone
searched for him they ultimately found him at the Maqam of Ummu Hiram. This was a common occurrence and almost
always Sheik Nazim was invariably found in the Zavia of Ummu Hiram together with the Scholars and Imams and the
learned men who were doing zikr and discoursing about religious matters in this Zavia. It is to be noted that he entered
into the circle of these learned men and sat with them when he was only four to five years old.

The Shrine of Muhiyyudin Abdul Qadir Gilani
Sheik Nazim was both from his father’s side and mother’s side descendent from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sal). On
his fathers side he was the descendent of the Great Sultan ul Awlia and the founder of the Qadiriya Tariqa Seyyedina
Muhiyyudin Abdul Qadir Jeelani (ral). On his mothers side he was a descendent of the Great Sufi Saint Mowlana
Jalaludin Rumi who was the founder of the Mevlavi Sufi Order.

The Shrine of Moulana Jalaluddin Rumi
Sheik Nazim’s grandfather was an Imam of the Qadiriya Sufi Order through which he served the people for period of over
forty years. It was at this Zavia of Umm Hiram that the grandfather of Sheik Nazim served. Sheik Nazim’s father however
did not become the Imam after his father as he was in tender years when his father passed away. It was spiritually
through Sheik Nazim that he was dressed in the Naqshabandi ranks after his death while he was in his grave and
thereby attained very high ranks in the Naqshabandi Sufi way. This was done by Sheik Nazim on the orders and
permission of his great Grandsheik Abdulla Faiz Dhagistani.

His Education
Sheik Nazim amazed a lot of people, especially his teachers when he was in his childhood and teenage years by being a
very clever and extremely smart student. He was so intelligent that it was only necessary for the teacher to tell him
something only once and it was as if it was recorded in the mind of Sheik Nazim. It astounded everyone even more
because Sheik Nazim was able to tell his teachers even before they could speak as to what they were going to teach him.
Some even thought that he had miraculous powers. Sheik Nazim had a great understanding of all that he learnt and of all
the sciences that were taught to him. He finished his high school in Cypress and thereafter left to Istanbul where he
entered the University of Istanbul in the year 1944.

Sheik Nazim
Sheik Nazim had three brothers all of whom studied in the University of Istanbul which was the highest seat of learning in
Turkey at that time. One of his brothers was reading for his Mechanical Engineering degree, while the other one was
studying Law. The third brother was studying Medicine. This was during the time of the 2nd World War. The third brother
of Sheik Nazim had completed his studies and also because of the fact that he was a doctor, and as doctors of medicine
were specially needed for the army he had to join the army. It was at this time when Sheik Nazim was finishing his
degree in Chemistry at the University that he came to hear of the sad news that his brother who was the doctor who had

joined the army had been killed.
Sheik Nazim specially liked this brother and had great love for him, so it was only natural that Sheik Nazim was very
depressed and most sorrowful at the news of the death of his brother. This made him realize that everything in this life was
of no value and that they were only temporary. He thought that to become a Scholar and to obtain degrees in
Universities were not really worth it. It was only the hereafter that mattered. At this time Sheik Nazim had already obtained
his Bachelor of Science degree and in the new light of things this meant nothing to him. He felt that everyone had to leave
everything in this world and go to Allah Almighty sooner or later. So he decided that he would leave every thing in this
world sooner than later .This was why he determined to give up everything of this world and set his mind to travel on the
way and path of Allah Almighty.
The Pursuit of Knowledge
Therefore he went in search of the Saints (Awlia) in order to get closer to Allah Almighty and gave up his studies and all
other material aspects. He started the pursuit of knowledge in religion. He began the study of the Shariah (Islamic Law)
and Jurisprudence and more specially Sufism. Sheik Nazim’s heart was greatly attracted to Sufism. He loved Sufism. In
the pursuit of Jurisprudence and Shariah he studied under the great Imam of that time who was Jamaluddin al Lasuni.
After a while maybe only a few months later, Sheik Nazim surpassed his teacher of Shariah and Jurisprudence so much
so that his teacher used to thereafter learn from Sheik Nazim.

Sheik Nazim
Sheik Nazim became very popular and was well known for his knowledge in the Shariah and Jurisprudence. He was so
popular in Istanbul that he was regarded as the encyclopedia on the knowledge relating to the four Madhabs (four
schools of Islamic thought), specially the Hanafi madhab. This was why the Ulema (the learned Scholors) of that
time believed that Sheik Nazim’s Knowledge was in comparison to his teacher very much higher. This is also why his
teacher Sheik Jamaluddin used to always consult his student Sheik Nazim before he made any Religious Decree (Fatwa)
for the people.
His First Sufi Sheik
It was while he was studying with his teacher Jamaluddin that he felt in his heart a great attraction towards a great Saint
of Allah who was also a Naqshabandi Sheik. This Sheik told Sheik Nazim that it was not enough for him to learn only
about the Shariah and that he should turn his face towards Sufism which is about the Divine knowledge and Secrets of
Islam. This Waliullah (Saint of Allah) was a Quthub (a Pole) of his time. Allah Almighty had dressed him with Divine
Lights, Secret Knowledge and Divine Wisdom. The name of this great Waliullah was Suleiman Arzurumi. This Sheik was
known as the Sheik of all Sheiks (Sheik ul Mashaik) in the Turkish territory.
Sheik ul Mashaik Suleiman Jurumi was one of the Rijalullah which means that he was one of the 313 top ranking Saints
in the World. At any given time there are 313 special Saints who represent Allah Almighty in this world. They are the high
powered Saints .Sheik ul Mashaik Suleiman Arzurumi was one of these 313 Saints in the world at that time. This number
313 is fixed and does not change as when one passes away another is appointed to make the number 313. This is in
keeping with being the representatives of the 313 Mursaleen or Messengers who were the most powerful of the 124,000.
Prophets. These 313 were Prophets and Messengers while the rest of them were only Prophets. In the same manner
every one of the 313 Awliyas (Saints) have their secrets from these 313 Messengers.
Sheik Sulaiman Arzurumi took Sheik Nazim into his care and trained him in all manner of practices and devotions in
order to improve his spiritual ranks. He taught him the Divine knowledge and the Divine Secrets until Sheik Nazim soon
became the Imam of Sufism. This was yet when Sheik Nazim was only about 22 or 23 years old. Sheik Nazim’s most
favorite moments during this time was to be in prayers. Whenever anyone looked for him he was found to be in prayers.
He used to pray thousands of cycles of prayer ( rakaats ) during the day and night.
After a period of time Sheik Suleiman said to Sheik Nazim, “I have educated you and trained you up till now. I cannot train
you further. I have to stop and your training with me is finished now. Your himmath (determination), power and energy is
much higher than what I expected from you. Therefore, I asked Seyyedina Muhammad (sal) as to what I should now do
with you as I am not able to continue teaching you as you have surpassed me and gone higher than me spiritually. The
Prophet (sal) said that your Spiritual Trust (Amana) was not with me and that on the Day of Promises I had not been
given it. This is the reason that I cannot control you anymore. This Spiritual Trust (Amana) was given on the Day of
Promises to another Saint who is the Seal of Saints and a Sultan ul Awlia. He has the power to help all other Awlias
(Saints) who are in need. He is now in Damascus, and his name is Mowlana Abdullah Faiz Dhagistani.”
Sheik Nazim was told that he should go to Damascus in order to meet Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani as it was only he
who had now the power to be able to control and to train Sheik Nazim. When Sheik Sulaiman told Sheik Nazim this news
Sheik Nazim felt that everything inside him was crying out and telling him to leave for Damascus immediately and to
meet Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani. After meeting Sheik Abdulla in Damascus Sheik Nazim intended to settle down in
Medina at the Maqam of the Prophet Muhammad (sal).
Sheik Nazim says, "as it was the will of my Sheik that I go to Damascus, I didn’t even look back nor take anything with
me. I left with only my clothes that I was wearing and my walking stick. I did not even have money in my pocket. I soon
arrived near the border of Alleppo which borders Turkey. I put on my turban and let my beard grow and dressed myself
according to the Sunnah of my Prophet Muhammad (sal). I was telling myself how can I enter a Muslim country where
the Sunnah of the Prophet (sal) is still surviving without strictly observing the Muslim code of dress. I respected these

holy lands in such a manner and therefore I had to dress up according to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sal).”
Sheik Nazim said, “After Allepo I went to a city called Hama, and after that to a city called Homs. In Homs I settled down
for a while because I saw that the people of Homs were easy to get on with and that their behavior was very good. They
were very humble people and they welcomed me and were very happy with me .They were very happy that although I
was very young they could learn about the Shariah from me. They gave me a room in which I could stay in the Mosque of
Kalid bin Walid (ral) who was during the time of the Prophet (sal) the leader and the General of the Islamic Army. He was
a very high companion of the Prophet (sal).”
In Homs
“I then realized that Kalid bin Walid (Ral) was wanting me to stay in his Maqam and to be with the people of Homs. I
stayed one year in Homs in a room close to the mosque of Kalid bin Walid (ral). During this year I studied the seven ways
in which the Holy Quran is recited, which is known as Thajwid. These are the seven ways in which Prophet (sal) recited
the Holy Quran with different types of pronunciations. I completed this within one year, and finished the recitation of the
Holy Quran. I also studied the Arabic language under the big ulema of these Islamic countries. I specially studied under
the Sheik -ul - Islam Abdul Aziz uyun as-Sud and also many other famous Imams and Sheiks.”
One of the mirecles that Sheik Nazim talks about was the bombing of the Maqam of Kalid bin Walid (ral) and the Divine
protection given to the Maqam. Sheik Nazim says, “It was the time during the 2nd World War and I was in the mosque of
Kalid bin Walid (ral )when I saw this miracles happen. The planes were dropping bombs from above on Homs and also
near and on the Maqam and the mosque of Kalid bin Walid (ral). All the people gathered in and around the mosque in
order to seek shelter and protection for themselves through the great Sahaba khalid bin Walid (ral).”
Sheikh Nazim
“During the prayers time however no one was willing to go upto the minaret in order to call for adhan as the planes were
dropping a lot of bombs over that area. I however went upto the minerat and called adhan from the minaret. As I was
calling Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar I witnessed a most extraordinary and amazing sight. There were many people below
me in and around the mosque lying down and seeking shelter from the bombs. I could see everything from the top of the
minerat. The planes were mercilessly bombing the area. I saw to my astonishment that there were many
angels(malaikas) who were catching hold of the bombs as they were being dropped and throwing them away out of the
area. I was seeing this as I am seeing you now. The malaikas were collecting the bombs and throwing them back to
where they came from.’”
The First Meeting With His Grandsheik
“One day after a period of about one year in Homs as I was in the mosque for prayers the Imam of the mosque after the
Isha prayers mentioned that he was going on the next day to meet a very great saint whose name was Sheik Abdullah
Faiz Daghistani. He told me if I liked I could go along with him to meet him. When I heard the name of Mowlana Abdullah
Faiz Daghistani I remembered what my Sheik had told me, and I began to tremble. My whole body started shaking and
shivering. I said to myself that this was the main reason why I had come to this country and to Damascus. I immediately
told him that I would go with him to meet Sheik Abdullah. The next day I accompanied him to Damascus".
"In those days it was so difficult to travel by buses. We traveled from morning upto Asr time. After praying Asr we went to
meet this very great Awlia Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani. This Saint was living in a cemetery on the Maqam of an Awlia.
Below were the graves and on top was the maqam in which Sheik Abdulla was living for the last six years. He had been
in this room near the cemetery making seclusion for the last six years. We went and knocked on the door and it was
opened by this Great Waliullah Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani. He looked at me and said “ Most welcome to the person
whom we have asked to come,” and then he spoke without looking at us but looking far away from us and said , “I have now
received this Trust (Amana ), which is Mowlana Sheik Nazim, that you sent,” this was addressed to Sheik Sulaiman my
earlier Sheik.

Sheik Nazim with his Grandsheik Abdullah
“This was my first meeting with Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani and at that time my age was 23 years old. From that time I
was attached to him and did not let go of him until he passed away from this world. This meeting was in 1945 and I
remained with him from this time upto 1973. I have heard with these ears of mine 70,000 lectures from my Grandsheik.
Each of these lectures lasted on an average of about three hours each. I used to memorize these lectures while Sheik
Abdullah was talking and then go home and write them down from my memory.”
The Wonder Of Grandsheik
Sheik Nazim said that during the first meeting with him, Grandsheik Abdullah began to lecture on all kinds of Divine
Knowledge, Divine Wisdom and Divine Secrets. This knowledge was new and fresh knowledge which had never before
been disclosed even by the great Awlias including Sheik ul Akbar Muhiyyudin Ibn al Arabi. Sheik Nazim says, “He gave
this knowledge to us as if he was receiving it from Seyyedina Muhamed (Sal) and from the Divine Secret Oceans of Allah
Almighty. He was transmitting them to me. He spoke, answering all my questions on the Shariah and on the knowledges
of Reality. All the questions that had been buzzing in my head due to my education, and all queries inside me were
answered and solved for me in this very short time of three hours. This made me love him and connect to him even
more".

Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghistani
“He then started to speak about Sahib uz Zaman, Seyyedina Imam Mahdi (Alai). He began describing even the smallest
details about the way he was to appear, as to how he was going to fight and the manner in which he would bring peace
to the Earth. He explained and described these events as if he was in front of Seyyedina Mahdi (Alai) witnessing it and
describing them to me. This description was a minute by minute description and it so greatly attracted my heart. This was
far more than what I had expected. It was beyond my wildest expectations. During this lecture my heart was
tremendously attracted and connected to Sheik Abdullah and I realized the great power of Sheik Abdullah. He spoke
about the coming of Seyyedina Isa (Alai) and all the events leading upto the time of his passing away from this world. He
then went on to talk about the happenings upto the time of the blowing of the Horn by Israfil (Alai). He even talked about
the day of Judgment and how it was going to happen and as to what will happen in the Court of Allah Almighty. He finally
finished his lecture by telling me about those who would be entering Paradise and those who would be entering Hell.”
Sheik Nazim further said, “All these Secrets were not told to me like when others describe some event to you. It was as if
Grandsheik was witnessing and describing what he himself was seeing. I too felt that this lecture was not like what I had
heard before or read before in books. I felt that I too could see what he was describing and all the events that he was
mentioning unfolding before my very eyes. It was something like watching television. This was what I had been searching
for all my life and for what I had left everything behind. Now I had found it with Sheik Abdullah.”
Sheikh Abdullah and Sheikh Nazim
“I have never before heard such knowledge and it was described in such great detail. Such details are not even to be
found in the books written by Muhiyyudin Ibn al Arabi (Ral). I surrendered myself immediately to Grand sheik Abdulla. I
had been earlier thinking that my spiritual ranks were very high and that I had very deep knowledge on the Realities and
also that I was a Sufi Imam. In front of Grandsheik however all these things seemed as if they were nothing. I was like a
toy in the hands of this great Sufi Sheik. I therefore gave myself up totally and surrendered to Sheik Abdullah. He than
asked us whether there were any other questions or anything else we would like to know from him. I said that I was
intending to go to Madina Munawara to be near the Prophet (sal). He then said, “Oh my son we do not decide by
ourselves. So I cannot tell you. We must ask such a question from Seyyedina Muhammad (sal) himself. Every night
during the third part of the night I go up spiritually to the Divine Presence of the Prophet Muhammad (sal). I will ask him
what you should do, and then I will tell you the Prophet’s answer by Fajr prayer time, tomorrow. He then cooked for us
and made tea thereafter. It was in such a courteous manner that he treated us. He then said goodbye to us and we left to
go to the mosque in which we were to stay that night.”
Endless Night
“When we went back to the mosque where we were staying, I was so eager for Fajr time to arrive. This night seemed to
be the longest night in my life. I was waiting impatiently to rush towards my Grandsheik in the morning in order to find out
the answer to my question from the Prophet (sal). Grandsheik Abdullah had promised that he would ask the Prophet
about my question and answer it for me in the morning. So it was the longest night in my life".
"In the morning after Fajr prayers we rushed to meet Sheik Abdullah. It was as if the light coming from the heart of the
Prophet (sal), through the heart of my Grandsheik was dragging me like a magnet towards the place where Grandsheik
was. I went towards him as if I was flying. Grandsheik then told me, “Oh my son all your Spiritual Realities and your
Spiritual Trust (amana) is in my hands and you have been my son from pre-eternity to eternity. You are going to serve
our Naqshabandi way. On the Day of Promises you had a promise to be a Grandsheik of the Naqshabandi line which
you will serve till the last days".
"As for the question of migrating to Madina Munawwara to be with the Prophet (sal), it has been accepted because of
your intention and it had been ordered to the Angels (Malaikas) to write it down in your favour that from this moment up
to the Last Days (Qiyama) with every wink of an eye you have been given the good tiding as if you have fulfilled that
purpose. The Nation (Umma) of the Prophet (sal) is very much in need of you and your advice, your teachings and your
leadership. The Prophet (sal) also said, to tell you to collect all the people of his nation who are now spread all over the
world.. You have to collect them and gather them and bring them to me from all over the world. In every 24 hours I shall
be waiting for him to gather and bring them to me. I shall wait for them and welcome them so that I can take them under
my control and keep them under my eye”.
The Return To Cypress
“Mowlana Abdullah Faiz Daghistani then said, “according to the will of the Prophet (sal), I think that it is best for you to
return to Cypress because the people there do not know much about Islam. They are in need of you in order to learn the
right way. The Sufi Naqshbandi way.”
“Mowlana Abdullah Faiz Daghistani then initiated me into the Naqshabandi order. While initiating me he was saying
Allahu Allahu Allahu Haq and he was looking from his heart to my heart. Through this looking all the Maqams in my heart
was opened up. The eyes of my heart was opened and I was able to see everything in the Heavens, the Earth and the
Universes. The Reality of everything and the lights, different lights from different maqams and all maqams were opened
up to me by Allah Almighty through my Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani. Then he taught me the Zikr and he taught me the
katham ul Khawajagan”. He then told me “when you visit people you will be able to give them knowledge and my
knowledge is coming to me from Seyyedina Muhammed (sal). I then kissed his hands and also kissed his forehead and I
made an intention to go back to Cypress to fulfill the order of my Sheik”. I then told the person who accompanied me when
I visited my Grandsheik that I was going back to Cypress and gave all my clothes and other things to the poor.”

Sheik Nazim used to have a lot of ancient manuscripts which were very expensive which he said should all be distributed
to the people. He did not have a single penny because when he left Damascus he had made a promise to Allah Almighty
not to touch any money with his hands or put it in his pockets.
Then Sheik Nazim went directly to the bus station to go to Lebanon. Lebanon is on the sea side and from there everyday
there was a boat to Cypress. It was the hardest time during the 2nd World War. The French army was occupying
Damascus, Lebanon and most of these countries. When Sheik Nazim went to the bus stand he saw a person waiting at
this bus stand. Surprisingly he addressed Sheik Nazim thus “Oh Sheik Nazim do you want to go to Tripoli.” Sheik Nazim
did not know him. How did he know his name. Sheik Nazim says “I told him that I did not have any money for the bus and
he told me not to worry about it as he would pay for the bus.
I got in to the bus together with the other people who were there and the bus took us to Tripoli. It was almost 400 km from
Damascus. We finally reached Lebanon. When I got down from the bus it seemed such a strange place to me. No one
was known to me in this place. By the time we reached there it was night time. Then suddenly I heard a person looking at
me and saying ‘Oh Sheik Nazim, I know that you are Sheik Nazim”, the person who addressed me looked very
respectable and had a long beard and he had light (nur) in his face. He seemed to me to be a holy Sheik. His eyes were
blue and so much of light was coming from his eyes. He told me, “I have been waiting for you here for the last three days
now. Three days ago Seyyedina Muhammad (Sal) in a dream ordered me and said, “wake up, there is going to come to
this bus station my son Nazim. Allah Amighty will make him inherit the secrets of the 124.000 prophets and the secrets
of all the Grandsheiks of the Naqshbandi line, from Seyyedina Abu bakr as Siddiq (ral) to Sheik Abdullah Faiz Daghistani
(ral). He is the Saint whom all other Saints will need. Therefore make good hospitality for him and serve him yourself.
Then help him to go to Cypress".
“He made himself known to me that he was Sheik Munir al Malek. I left with him for his room which was in the city of Mina
in the sea side part of Tripoli. In this city there is the Mosque of Mina in which was his room. He told me that he was going
to give me his room. He served me for three days both during the day and night, throughout which he was standing. He
was searching for a boat to take me to Cypress.”
The Boat Journey
“It was so difficult because it was the time during the 2nd World War. The English and French armies were fighting for the
seas. No one dared to even swim in the sea. It was so difficult to travel by sea. Sheik Munir had a friend who was a
fisherman to whom he said that he was searching for a boat to take me to Cypress and that he had do this because
Prophet (sal) had ordered him to take care of me and also to see to my protection and to see that I was sent to Cypress
safely. The fisherman offered to take me by his boat to Cypress".
"This boat was a very small fishing boat which was meant for only about five or six people. A big wave could easily have
capsized and sunk this boat. Sheik Munir than gave some money and told me that I could go in this boat. Thereafter we
sailed for eight days and nights. It was so difficult even to take ablution. There wasn’t enough food and water even. One
could just lean over and touch the sea and collect the water for ablution. In normal days this journey would take only six
hours in an ordinary boat. This journey however took us eight days. Then we finally reached Cypress fulfilling the order of
Mowlana Abdullah Faiz Daghistani.”
The boat journey
"There were many obstacles that we had to overcome on this long journey to Cypress. But we finally managed to fulfill
my Sheiks order. When I reached the island of Cypress and stepped on to the dry land my heart was glowing. I felt an
extraordinary power and lights and that all Maqams were opening up to the Throne of Allah Almighty. I was seeing
everything until the seven heavens. Suddenly the spiritual body of Mowlana Abdullah Faiz Daghistani was there to
welcome me. He was on my right hand side walking with me. All kinds of Divine Knowledge and Divine Secrets opened
in my heart and I felt that I was like an encyclopedia of the Oceans of Knowledge of Allah Almighty which was transmitted
from the Spirituality of my Sheik to me. From that time till today he was with me. Not even for a moment have I ever been
away from him from that time. He then gave me a lot of knowledge by and through the presence of Seyyedina
Muhiyyudin Ibn al Arabi (ral), and dressed me with all of his Knowledge too".
"When I reached Cypress I was astonished to find thousands of people there to welcome me. No one knew that I was
coming to Cypress. Later I learned that some of them had seen a dream in which Seyyedina Muhammad (sal) and
Mowlana Abdulla Faiz Dagistani had appeared and told them to welcome me to Cypress. So they welcomed me. In this
manner I entered Cypress with the shouts and cries of Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar”.

Haqiqat Al Haqqani. Some of the reality of Sheikh Nazim.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Home of Sheik Nazim

Sheikh Nazim

HAQIQAT UL HAQQANI

THE QUALITY OF AULIYA
Moulana Sheik Nazim is of the highest quality of Auliya so that the one who sits with Moulana Sheikh Nazim feels that he
himself is in the rank of a very great Saint (Wali). This feeling is not from himself but from the light and spiritual power of
Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He has been given power from Allah Almighty so that anyone who sits with him feels that he is
so very near to Allah Almighty and to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and that he is always going to be close to
them. This is because the spiritual power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim immediately enters into one who sits with him which
makes him to be always with Allah Almighty, the Prophets and the Saints.
When a person takes Bayyat from Moulana the spiritual power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is always with that person
immaterial of how far away in distance he is from the physical presence of Moulana. Moulana will be with him through
every moment until that person reaches the grave. Until the day of judgement Moulana will be with that person. Even
until he reaches in front of Allah Almighty will Moulana be with him. When Allah Almighty questions this person Moulana
shall answer all questions instead of him. In this time it is not possible to find this kind of Auliya like Moulana Sheikh
Nazim.

Sheikh Nazim
Moulana says that this quality of Auliya is hidden and all of them are presently with Sahib us Zaman Seyyidina Mahdi
(alai). The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) has now during our time left between the East and the West in all of this
earth only Moulana Sheikh Nazim who is the only one able to give this type of knowledge and wisdom to the hearts of
the people.

THE CONCEPT OF SULTAN UL AULIYA
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the Sultan ul Auliya of this age. Most people think that the rank of Qutub ul Gauz is the highest
because they have no knowledge of the rank of Sultan ul Auliya. Moulana Sheikh Nazim was given the rank of Qutub ul
Gauz 30 years ago by his Grandsheik. When Grandsheik Abdullah Al Faiz ad Dhagistani (qas) passed away from this
earth, Moulana Sheikh Nazim became the Sultan ul Auliya and he then granted the rank of Qutub ul Gauz to someone
else.
In actual fact the rank of Qutub ul Gauz in comparison to the rank of Sultan ul Auliya is very low. The station of Qutub ul
Gauz entails the function of arranging the needs of the physical bodies of the people. For example to have their food and
to have the mercies of Allah Almighty come to them. The Sultan ul Auliya however deals with the hearts, the soul and the
spirit of humanity. He is the one who makes them always to be with Allah Almighty in the place where the Holy Prophet
(peace be upon him) made Sajda on the night of Mihraj.

Sheikh Nazim
The Sultan ul Auliya is the Khaliphatullah of the time and he represents the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) while the other Saints represent one of the other 124,000 prophets. As all the other Prophets are also represented
http://www.sheiknazim.com/portal-bin - The Home Page of Moulana Sheik MuhammPeodw Neraezdim b yA SdEil RAEl HNaDqIqBa enPi! o(rQtaSlA) Generated: 15 August, 2005, 00:45
by the Seal of Prophets Seyyidina Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Sultan ul Auliya of the time also has the Tajjalli
and the power of all the 124,000 Prophets.

The representative of Allah Almighty during one particular age is only one and in this time and age Moulana Sheikh
Nazim is this representative, and he is the Sultan ul Auliya and Khaliphatullah of this time.
As the Khaliphatullah or the representative of Allah Almighty in our time it is Moulana Sheikh Nazim who is inside the
ka’abatullah. The ka’abatullah is also known as the Baithullah or the house of Allah. Allah Almighty is everywhere but
especially in the Baithullah as He has Himself called it the house of Allah. For it to be called the house of the Lord, the
Lord of the house must be in it. The Lord of the house is represented by His Khalifa who in this time is Moulana Sheikh
Nazim.
The rank Sultan ul Auliya in Tariqat means the rank of the Saint who possesses the secret of the Holy Prophet (peace be
upon him). This secret was put in the heart of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) by Allah Almighty. Thereafter the
Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) transmitted this secret to the heart of Abu Bakr Siddique (Ral). Thereafter this secret
has been transmitted right down to our times through the Golden Chain of Spiritual Transmission of the Naqshbandi
Tariqat (Silsila).
There have not been many who have held the rank of Sultan ul Auliya from the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon
him). From the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) till now there are only forty of these representatives. This
secret was passed down from the heart of Abu Bakr as Siddique (Ral) to Salman al Farsy and then from Siddique to
Siddique, and now during our time Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the possessor of this secret.
In the spiritual chain of Moulana Sheikh Nazim all of them preceding him were the Sultan ul Auliya of their times-for
example Salman al Farsy, Yusuf al Hamadani, Abdul Khaliq al Ghudjdawani, Shah Naqshaband, Moulana Abdullah
Dhagistani etc. Apart from the Saints in this chain of spiritual transmission only Moulana Abdul Qadir Jeelani (qas) was of
this rank.

Sheikh Nazim
This Divine secret of Allah Almighty which was given to the heart of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and
transmitted from heart to heart from one Siddique to another is the Divine Secret and Divine Breath which Allah Almighty
blew into Adam (alai).

THE RANK OF SULTAN UL AULIYA
Everything that you know of is under the spiritual control of the Sultan ul Auliya. He is the one who is in charge of all
mankind in this universe. He is also in charge of all the world of Jinn’s and Angels as the Sultan of Mankind is also in
charge of all the Jinn and of all Malaika (Angels). This Maqam (station) of Sultan ul Auliya is a Maqam related to the
hearts. Not even a thought can be comprehended of the greatness of this Maqam. This Maqam in this time is related to
Moulana Sheik Nazim.
Moulana has been given the power to be in every heart of every human being in this universe. He also has the immense
power of being able to make the Divine Light of Allah Almighty and all the 124,000 Prophets to enter into the hearts and
bodies of all humanity in just one moment.

Sheikh Nazim
In one moment Moulana is able not only to make an unbeliever to believe but also to be able to make him attain the rank
of Siddique (the rank of Siddique is the highest rank of Sainthood), and to make him to always be a light of Allah
Almighty to sit in front of Allah Almighty and to make him see and talk with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) and to comprehend the Holy Prophet’s spiritual rank. Moulana Sheikh Nazim has the power to make the unbeliever
be like him in rank and position.
In the case of all the Prophets they received their secret from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In the
same manner all Auliya during this time receive their secrets form the Khaliphatullah of this time. As Moulana Sheikh
Nazim is the Khaliphatullah of this time, it is he who gives all ranks and all stations to the Auliya. No one can become a

Wali or Qutub unless Moulana Sheikh Nazim gives this rank to him. Moulana is the representative of Allah Almighty who
possesses this power.
Everything in this Universe has been created for the honour and for the sake of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be
upon him). Everything that has been created in this Universe is created from the Light of the Holy Prophet (peace be
upon him). Everything that we see in the first instance is the Light of Allah Almighty. Due to this reason we say “La ilaha
illallah”. Then thereafter Allah Almighty reduced these lights to the Light of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) so that
there would be an intermediate stage between all that we see and Allah Almighty. This is why we also say “Muhammad ur
Rasulullah” in the kalima.

Sheikh Nazim
During every age there is a Saint responsible for all these lights. In our time this responsibility is given to Moulana Sheikh
Nazim as he is now the representative of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and also of all the 124,000
prophets. When Grandsheik Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) left this world this secret was given to Moulana Sheikh Nazim in
Tave Muqallam in a very big ceremony, and from this time onwards he became responsible for all of creation - the
Humans, Jinn’s, Angels, animals, trees, Earths, stars and everything that is created from the Light of the Holy Prophet
(peace be upon him).
Grandsheik Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) ordered Moulana Sheik Nazim to do about 10 to 12 seclusions (Khalwats) in a lot
of places. When Moulana completed these seclusions, his physical body became annihilated and his body became a
divine body which is related to Allah Almighty. It was only after this that this responsibility and secret was given to
Moulana, as this is never given except under these circumstances.

THE DIVINE LIGHT OF ALLAH ALMIGHTY
Anybody who takes Bayyat from Moulana Sheikh Nazim, specially those from western countries will not leave this world
except as Walis. Regarding this Moulana says “I have been ordered by Allah Almighty and by the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) to gather all the lights that are now coming from Western and European countries and
to return them to their origin. Any European or Westerner or anyone else making Bayyat will not leave this Dunya except
as an Auliya and he shall reach to the highest stations which Allah Almighty offers to beloved servants.”
Moulana also said “the light of one who makes Bayyat with me, specially those who are entering Islam now and who
come to me, shall be so bright and powerful that even the sun shall appear dark besides their light. I shall make their light
brighter and more powerful than the light of the sun. They shall shine in every place, all over the universes and all over
the paradises”.
When Moulana Sheikh Nazim begins a lecture he does not only speak to those who are in front of him. Thousands of
Auliya and millions of Jinn’s also listen to this same lecture of Moulana. Regarding this Moulana says “I am not only
speaking to you. Perhaps you are only ten, or fifteen or a thousand, but hundreds of thousands of Auliya are here with
me now, and millions of Jinn’s are now sitting with you and are listening to me. In my lectures I give three stations - one
for you, one for the Auliya and one for the Jinn’s. In any place I sit and in every lecture that I open, the spirit of the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Divine Light and Essence of Allah Almighty is always with me and
never leaves me”. This is the power and rank of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.

Sheikh Nazim
Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) once said that he had dressed Moulana Sheikh Nazim with the Ninety Nine Beautiful
Names of Allah Almighty including also the Ismul Aalam, the Greatest Name of Allah Almighty. Therefore do not look at
Moulana Sheikh Nazim as Moulana Sheikh Nazim, but look at him as a Tajjalli or Light of Allah Almighty.
Grandsheik Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) also said “It is not good to say that he is Allah as the followers of Jesus Christ say
about Jesus. Instead you should say that “he is a Tajjalli or Light of Allah Almighty.” When he speaks, don’t listen to him as
from Moulana Sheikh Nazim, but listen to him as if Allah Almighty is speaking to you, “ yes, He is the one who speaks to
you”.
When the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) went on Mihraj he reached a certain point with Angel Gibreel
(alai) when the Angel said to the Prophet (peace be upon him) “Only you can enter beyond this point. If I move further I
will be destroyed and there shall thereafter be no existence for me”. The Prophet said “yes, I will enter” and he went
http://www.sheiknazim.com/portal-bin - The Home Page of Moulana Sheik MuhammPeodw Neraezdim b yA SdEil RAEl HNaDqIqBa enPi! o(rQtaSlA) Generated: 15 August, 2005, 00:45
beyond this point to the utmost limits. When he did this his personality was destroyed and he became a Light of Allah
Almighty. By becoming this Light he reached to Allah Almighty.
This is also the same for every Sheik of the Naqshbandi Tariqat as they are dressed with the Divine Secret and the
Divine Breath of Allah Almighty. Their bodies too have been destroyed and they have taken off their human personality.
They too became a Light of Allah Almighty as it happened to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as they
continued on their journey and reached to the very Throne of Allah Almighty. Moulana Sheikh Nazim is now dressed with
these lights and therefore we should look at him as a Tajjalli of Allah Almighty.
Regarding this Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) said “I have ordered Moulana Sheikh Nazim into seclusion
and made him reach this rank. He now has a face towards the creatures and a face towards Allah Almighty.” Therefore he
is with Allah Almighty all the time and with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) all the time. They speak to
him and he speaks to them at every moment so that he can translate to the People around him all that they are in need
of from Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim does not need to have recourse to books in answering any question that his followers or visitors
put to him. He knows exactly what they need to know from Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be
upon him) and he answers them immediately. He knows for what reason these people have come to him and for what
reason they have visited him and he talks to each of them according to their capacity.

Sheikh Nazim
If their capacity is high then Moulana talks to them from the light of Allah Almighty. If their capacity is less than this he
talks to them from the station of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and if their capacity is even less than
this, he talks to them from the station of Mahdi (alai) or from the station of the Auliya. Whatever station that their capacity
requires Moulana is able to talk from all these stations.
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) also said that Moulana Sheikh Nazim will be the channel through which
the secret of the Quran will enter into the heart of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) has already dressed Moulana Sheikh Nazim in all these ranks. When
Moulana Sheikh Nazim speaks he is not as if he is a man who looks at a map and describes some town or country. On
the other hand Moulana is in all the ranks that are related to the secret of the Quran. When he describes this he does so
with personal experience.
Not only does Moulana describe these ranks to his followers or visitors but also dresses them in these ranks so that they
will not leave this world until they are dressed with these lights and all of them become Auliya. They shall not even be
ordinary Walis. They shall be in a Maqam like that of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).

THE TEACHER, THE MASTER AND THE INTERMEDIARY
Moulana Sheikh Nazim’s power is not given to him only for himself but for everyone who is related to him on the Day of
Promises. All the people of the Umma now have been given by Allah Almighty to Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). All of them are
also now under the tutelage of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He is now teaching them and dressing them with Maqams
(stations) so that when Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) comes, they will have the capacity to talk to Allah Almighty. At this time like
Seyyidina Moosa (alai) the people will be able to talk to Allah Almighty. They shall also be able to talk to the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to the 124,000 Prophets.
Allah Almighty has made Moulana Sheikh Nazim to be the teacher and the Master of these people and of the Auliya of
this time so that they will all have the capacity to reach to these ranks during the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) and be
able to sit in the lectures of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
If there wasn’t Moulana Sheikh Nazim between us and Seyyidina Mahdi (alai), or between us and the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him), or between us and Allah Almighty, no one would be able to reach to the Divine
Knowledge’s or to connect up with the station of the Auliya or with the station of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be
upon him) or with the station of Allah Almighty. This is because Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the intermediary between us
and these stations.
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) has said that it is now the duty of Moulana Sheik Nazim to collect and
gather every human being who had been given to him on the Day of Promises.
http://www.sheiknazim.com/portal-bin - The Home Page of Moulana Sheik MuhammPeodw Neraezdim b yA SdEil RAEl HNaDqIqBa enPi! o(rQtaSlA) Generated: 15 August, 2005, 00:45

Sheikh Nazim
Every human being is a light from the Light of Allah Almighty and from the Light of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace
be upon him). The Khaliphatullah of this time, Moulana Sheikh Nazim is representing Allah Almighty and the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Therefore all humanity are also from the light of this Khaliphatullah. In our
time this Saint is Moulana Sheikh Nazim. It is because of this reason that Moulana Sheikh Nazim was told on the Day of
Promises by Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that these millions of people will be
under his vision and that Moulana should look after them because their light is from the light of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
This is why people find themselves attracted to Moulana Sheikh Nazim. The light of Moulana is attracting their light like a
drop of water falling from the clouds is drawn to fall into the ocean. This is why when we enter and sit at a lecture of
Moulana Sheikh Nazim we feel like that drop of water merging into the ocean and forget Dunya and the life of this world.

THE CONQUEROR OF THE HEARTS
Moulana Sheikh Nazim (qas) will be the one who will be in charge of the hearts of people during the time of Seyyidina
Mahdi (alai). He will be the Spiritual Master and the Spiritual Father of all the people living in this time. The sword of
Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) will take away the heads of all those who reject what Moulana Sheikh Nazim will say in that time.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim (qas) has said that anyone who has made Bayyat with him and who is his mureed or follower and
believes in him would be under his vision. They would always be kept safe in this world. Even if an atom bomb was to
explode near him he would be protected and kept safe. A wind would be sent from paradise to this person so that he
would be able to breathe the air from it and not from the nuclear waste in the atmosphere.

Sheikh Nazim
Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have given to Moulana all the people of this time
and during the time of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). All of them are under his vision and control. Moulana Sheikh Nazim does
not even need to look at them from the station of Divine Vision as all of them are as if they are in his hand.
Moulana looks at them as if they are on the palm of his hand. He looks at them at every moment and he knows what they
do at each moment. If bad situation is to come to a mureed of his, Moulana has the power to change it. Moulana’s
purpose is to make this mureed to reach to Rizwanullah. Anything that obstructs the path of this mureed in reaching to
this station of Rizwanullah would be taken away by Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He will clear all obstacles. If something bad
is about to happen to a mureed of Moulana Sheikh Nazim, he would make a dua to Allah Almighty on behalf of this
mureed and take this away from the mureed. In this manner Moulana Sheikh Nazim can enter into and change destiny
(qasaullah) and the course of nature.

Sheikh Nazim
An example of this once happened at Mecca and Sheik Adnan relates this incident as follows: “We were in Mecca with
Moulana Sheikh Nazim making Tawaf. The sun was out and there was not a cloud in sight. Moulana then prayed to Allah
Almighty saying “Oh! Allah Almighty, I have come here as Your guest to please You. I would like it to rain so that I can
take some Baraka from the rain that comes down at the Ka’aba. The clouds built up and it began to rain. It rained so hard
that all Mecca began to look like a river.

THE LOVE FOUNTAIN OF THE HEARTS
Today the hearts of the Europeans and the Westerners are attracted to the Naqshbandi Tariqat more than the Arabs and
those from other countries. This is because their hearts are wide and open not narrow and closed. During the time of
Seyyidina Mahdi (alai), Moulana Sheikh Nazim will be in charge of the hearts of all the people. Seyyidina Mahdi (alai)
would be in charge of establishing the Sharia while Moulana Sheikh Nazim will be the love fountain and love centre for
the people. He shall be entrusted with the opening out of the hearts of the people.
Every Auliya in this time sees Moulana Sheikh Nazim as a Light of Allah Almighty. No one can even imagine the spiritual
shape of Moulana Sheikh Nazim, because all the heavens and the earth enter into him. The physical shape of the one
who has the Divine secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) must also closely resemble the physical
http://www.sheiknazim.com/portal-bin - The Home Page of Moulana Sheik MuhammPeodw Neraezdim b yA SdEil RAEl HNaDqIqBa enPi! o(rQtaSlA) Generated: 15 August, 2005, 00:45
shape of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). As Moulana Sheikh Nazim has this secret, his physical
shape closely resembles that of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Sheikh Nazim
All those who come to visit Moulana Sheikh Nazim and sit with him will also gradually have their physical features slowly
transformed. This is because they are not seated with an ordinary person. They are seated with an extraordinary power
which is Moulana Sheikh Nazim. The more that a person sits with Moulana Sheikh Nazim, the more will his love increase
and the higher will be his ranks and every Auliya in this time will have the shape of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.

THE MIRACLE OF MIRACLES
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is one of the most remarkable Saints of all time. This type of Sainthood is not generally known by
the people. All that they know is that somehow their hearts are attracted to him. People don’t even know why their hearts
are attracted to Moulana in this manner. This is because he is one of the biggest Saints of all time.
Moulana does not generally perform miracles in the nature of flying in the air or walking on water as he says that even
Shaitan has the power to perform these types of miracles. His miracles are however, of a different type. His miracles are
to be found in the day to day life of his mureeds (followers). For example he is with every one of his mureeds at every
given moment and all the time.
If at any time a mureed calls for him saying “Madad Ya Seyyidi” Moulana immediately sends a divine look to his heart and
then the heart of this mureed is lit up with a Divine Light. This Light is sent by Moulana from his heart to the heart of this
mureed. This mureed shall then be in a good situation and the bad thing that was to have happened to him would have
been taken away from him.

Sheikh Nazim

Another of the miracles of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the miracle in the grave. When the Angels appear in the mureeds
grave to question him, Moulana Sheikh Nazim will immediately be there and say to the Angels “Don’t question my follower,
question me instead of him and I will answer on his behalf. “The Angels shall not be able to bear the Light of Moulana
Sheikh Nazim and due to this they shall be forced to go away.
During the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) the Light of his heart came onto the hearts of the
Sahabas around him. This is also so with Moulana Sheikh Nazim. The same Light as in the case of the Sahabas shall
come from the heart of Moulana to the hearts of his followers. For as long as a person sits with Moulana Sheikh Nazim
this very same light shall at every moment come onto the heart of this person. This is the case for every follower, guest
or visitor of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
A person if even for only once visits Moulana Sheikh Nazim he shall not leave this life except as a believer. This is
because, Allah Almighty shall ask this person “did you in this life of yours see any Sheiks?” He will then answer “Yes, I
have seen Moulana Sheikh Nazim.” Then it will be said to him “Let Moulana Sheikh Nazim come” This is the miracle of
Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Still another miracle is that when on the Day of Judgement Allah Almighty asks as to what a person (a person who had
taken Bayyat from Moulana Sheikh Nazim, believed in him and visited him) did during his lifetime, Moulana Sheikh
Nazim shall act as this person’s lawyer and defender.
Moulana will not allow any of his mureeds to enter hell. He will not even let them to enter the Paradises that are known to
the people. No , Moulana Sheikh Nazim will make them enter the Paradise that is related to Allah Almighty. The ordinary
Paradises vanish into nothing when compared with the lights of this Paradise which is the Paradise that is related to Allah
Almighty. Moulana Sheikh Nazim shall make all his followers to enter into this Paradise.

THE POSSESSOR OF THE PRESERVED TABLETS
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) said that the preserved tablet in each time and age is the Saint (Wali)
that represents the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Allah Almighty. In this time Moulana Sheikh
Nazim is the Saint who represents Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) therefore the
Preserved Tablet in this time is Moulana Sheikh Nazim. All Auliya see him now in this rank. The knowledge that comes in

from the Preserved Tablet is really from the light of the palm of the Saint who represents Allah Almighty and the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in this age. In this time age, this great Saint is Moulana Sheikh Nazim (qas).
Every time that Moulana Sheikh Nazim gives a lecture, he looks into the Preserved Tablet. Moulana generally has a habit
of looking slightly upwards before commencing a lecture and then he continues delivering his lecture. This is because he
reads what he is going to say from the Preserved Tablet. Moulana once said “when I pray, I look to see what is written in
the Preserved Tablet for me to recite in Salat ul Luhr and also for every prayer I do the same to find out what I should
recite during that prayer from the Holy Quran. I don’t walk from this place to that except by looking and reading the
Preserved Tablet. “Moulana is the one who is in this time giving what Allah Almighty wants to give to any Saint and to all
the people according to what is written for them in the Preserved Tablet. He is writing it to them bringing this knowledge
both from Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Sheikh Nazim
Moulana gives an answer to any question that is asked from him from the Preserved Tablet. Moulana says that there are
many Preserved Tablets. There is a Preserved Tablet for the people, a Preserved Tablet for the Ulema, and there is a
Preserved Tablet for the Auliya. Then there is a Preserved Tablet for the Khaliphatullah and a Preserved Tablet for the
Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Moulana says that he can talk from all the preserved Tablets because he
is in all these ranks. This is because Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) gave to Moulana Sheikh Nazim the
secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the representative of Allah Almighty and he possesses the Divine Secret of the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him). He is also now the representative of Allah Almighty because of which he is present in
every cell of the Universe. How can it be otherwise because he is representing Allah Almighty in this Universe. Therefore
he has to be in every place, in every star and in every part and portion of the Universe. This is why he is in every cell of
the Universe.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim can also be present in his shape and body in several places at the same time. Bayazid Bistami
(Ral) (one of the Great Grandsheik’s of the Naqshbandi Tariqat) once multiplied himself and took on 24,000 bodies and
prayed prayers at 24,000 different places. The people of all these towns and countries bore witness that they prayed with
Bayazid Bistami (Ral) on that Friday.
Where Moulana Sheikh Nazim is concerned he is able to multiply himself and take on between 70,000 and 700,000 such
bodies and to appear in as many places at the same time. Bayazid Bistami (Ral) lived a thousand years ago and the
Tajjalli of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is stronger and more powerful and more precious as he now has the secrets of all the
previous Grandsheik’s including that of Bayazid Bistami (Ral) in his heart. He also possesses the secrets of all the
prophets and the secret of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in his heart. He is therefore the most
remarkable Saint in the Divan of the Saints of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Sheikh Nazim
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is not only in our earth but he is also in a lot of other places which are not related to our earth. He
is present in all these other places and he is also present with us at the same time. For example, there is a mountain
called the “Mountain of Qaf”. This mountain is not related to this Earth. There are many Auliya of high rank and station in
this mountain. Moulana is the Imam of them all. He leads the prayer on this mountain on every Friday at Jummah.
Whenever Moulana Sheikh Nazim delivers a lecture to his followers or to his visitors he also is with the Auliya on this
“Mountain of Qaf” making this very same lecture. This lecture is not only for those people who are listening to him at that
moment but also to all those who have been related on the Day of Promises to Moulana Sheikh Nazim by having it
written for them that they should listen to this lecture.
When Moulana Sheikh Nazim lectures to somebody, this lecture is not meant for that somebody only, but for all the
people throughout the East and throughout the West. His lectures are for all the Auliya and for the hearts of all the
people in all the Universes in our time. This is because all of them need the secret of Quran to reach to the time of
Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) who is going to be here soon.

NO QUESTIONING IN THE GRAVE
As for anyone who is related to Moulana Sheikh Nazim as a mureed the Angel of Death, Israel (alai) will have nothing to
do with him. The soul of this mureed at the time of his death will be taken by Moulana Sheikh Nazim. He shall look at the
mureed and immediately the soul of that mureed will leave his body. There is nothing for either the Angel of Death or for

the Angels of the Grave to do with the mureeds of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. This is because it has been so ordered and it
is by the Divine Power of Allah Almighty which has been given to him that Moulana Sheikh Nazim is so empowered. This
is specially for Moulana Sheikh Nazim.

GRANTS GIVEN TO MOULANA SHEIKH NAZIM
Moulana Sheikh Nazim has been given the grant that when in a lecture he speaks of the ranks of the Prophets or the
Auliya all the people who sit with him at this lecture will also be dressed in these same ranks as these Prophets and
Auliya that Moulana Sheikh Nazim speaks of. It is for this reason that Moulana often talks in his lectures of Prophets and
Auliya so that he is able to dress these ranks to all those who sit and listen to his lectures.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim also speaks about bad deeds when he addresses people in his lectures. The one who listens to
this lecture shall not be asked of any bad deed or sin that Moulana happens to mention in the course of this lecture. He
does not mention these bad deeds to stop the mureeds from doing them, but in order to take away his bad deeds or sins.
He then puts his mureed in his Mercy Oceans then he throws them into the Mercy Oceans of the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) and finally into the Mercy Oceans of Allah Almighty.
All the bad deeds and sins concerning which Moulana speaks during the course of his lectures to the mureed will not be
asked about from the mureed on the Day of Judgement. This is because Moulana Sheikh Nazim immediately makes a
Shafa’ah and asks forgiveness from Allah Almighty regarding the sins and bad deeds that he has mentioned in his
lecture. It is for this reason that you see Moulana Sheikh Nazim referring to so many sins and bad deeds during the
course of a lecture so that he would be able to put his mureeds into his Mercy Oceans.

Sheikh Nazim
Do not look at Moulana Sheikh Nazim as you see him, as a body with his bodily functions of eating, drinking and sitting
with you. Instead look at his other face, the face that is related to Allah Almighty and to the Holy Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him). This other face of Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the Spiritual and Divine Power that is controlling all the
Universes which include all the worlds of humanity, all the worlds of Jinn and all the worlds of Angels. All of them have
been given to Moulana and he shall return all of them to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to Allah
Almighty as they were given to him. He shall return all of them cleansed, without sins or bad deeds.
Moulana is not going to say by way of excuse that this particular person or that, was taken away from him by Shaitan.
No, he is not going to say that. He is going to return all of them pure as they were given to him. Regarding this Moulana
says “I have been dressed by Divine Power so that I will be able to return everyone to the Holy Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) and to Allah Almighty as they gave them to me. I shall return them without sins and without bad
deeds. I shall also dress them in all ranks, highly positioned ranks, ranks that are dressed by the Auliya and give them to
Allah Almighty”. This is a grant and a miracle of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Grandsheik Moulana Abdullah Dhagistani (qas) said that even Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) is a follower and a student of
Moulana Sheik Nazim because without the channel of Moulana Sheikh Nazim the secret of the Quran which has been
passed down from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Abu Bakr as Siddique (Ral), and from him right
down the Golden chain of Succession of the Naqshbandi Tariqat to Moulana Sheikh Nazim, cannot enter into the heart of
Seyyidina Mahdi (alai). Moulana Sheikh Nazim is going to teach Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) the knowledge of the Secret of
the Quran. In this respect Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) is student of Moulana Sheikh Nazim. Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the key
of the Secret of the Quran and he is the one who is going to plant this secret in the hearts of people.

ENDLESS HORIZONS
For many years Moulana Sheikh Nazim has been planting this Secret which is the Secret of the Quran in the hearts of all
those who have left this Dunya and are now in Barzakh. Presently, Moulana Sheikh Nazim is planting this Secret in the
hearts of the living people. To do this Moulana Sheikh Nazim goes out of his body every night. All the bodies which has a
soul in them gather in front of Moulana and he plants the Secret of the Quran in them. This is one of Moulana’s duties till
the coming of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai).
After the coming of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) and in the days of Seyyidina Mahdi (alai) he will give the knowledge of the
Secret of the Quran to selected people while he will let everyone else to know certain aspects of the Secret of the Quran.
Moulana will give power also to some of his followers and certain people with him.
If one knows the Secret of the Quran and someone was to ask him about the sun, for example, he would be able to
command the sun “come here” and the reality of the Sun shall come to him and he would be able to explain it to all the

people who are sitting with him. If he wanted to explain to them about the moon, all he would have to do is to ask the
moon to come to him and he would be able to explain to them about the moon which will appear in front of him by the
Divine Power of Moulana Sheikh Nazim.
Sheik Adnan relates that once when he was in Mecca making Tawaf with Moulana Sheikh Nazim a person with a long
beard came up to Moulana Sheikh Nazim, kissed his hand and continued to do Tawaf with Moulana. Moulana Sheikh
Nazim then told those who were present with him on that occasion that this person was Khidr (alai) and that he had come
specially to kiss Moulana’s hand and to perform Tawaf with him.
Sheik Adnan also relates that on another occasion when he was performing Tawaf around the Ka’aba with Moulana
Sheikh Nazim a very old man came up to Moulana, kissed him, spoke to him and performed Tawaf with Moulana.
Thereafter this old man disappeared without a trace. When Moulana was asked as to who this old man was, he
answered that this man was one of the sons of the Adam before our Adam (alai).
There have been 124,000 Adams in all, with their sons of which our Adam (alai) was the last. This was one of the sons of
the Adam before our Adam and he had come to kiss Moulana’s hand and to perform Tawaf with Moulana because he
had had this promise on the Day of promises and that it was written in the Divine Tablet. Moulana as the Khaliphatullah
of this time and as the representative of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during this time is not only for
us but also for all the Adams and their sons who came before us. He is the communicator who connects them with the
world of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Moulana Sheikh Nazim says that in comparison with the number of People in the other worlds, the people of this world
are nothing. There are so many of them, Moulana says, that compared to the Sohbet (association) that he makes with
the people in these other worlds and other Universes, the people in this Earth are so few.
Everyday the one who sits with Moulana constantly improves. He feels that his knowledge increases daily. This gets
better and better until he reaches a stage where he will have nothing to do with himself. Instead of himself he will see
Moulana Sheikh Nazim. When this happens Moulana immediately takes them and puts them in the cave with Seyyidina
Mahdi (alai) as they are so powerful it is not possible for the other people of the Earth to bear them.
All that has been written here about Moulana Sheikh Nazim is very little in comparison to what he really is because the
contents above are only a small part of the knowledge’s available about him. Apart from this fact there is also the reason
that it is not possible for the human mind to grasp and comprehend the reality of the rank of the Sultan ul Auliya.
Moulana Sheikh Nazim is the possessor of this rank in our age. This is why Moulana says, “No one really knows me. All
that they know about me are only some aspects of me".

Sheikh Nazim

May Allah Almighty Bless Moulana Sheik Nazim!

Intellect and Reason in the Islamic World View.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Intellect and Reason in the Islamic Worldview
Guest Column Babak Ayazifar
In an oratory resplendent with colorful imagery and metaphor, Prophet Muhammad defined the noble station of the intellect and reason in Islamic cosmology. It is reported that he said: “Verily, Allah (God) created the intellect from a treasured light, a light concealed within His primordial knowledge -- one that neither a commissioned prophet nor an angel of proximity [to the Divine Throne] was aware of. He then ascribed to the intellect knowledge as its essence, cognition as its soul, abstemiousness as its head, modesty as its eye, wisdom as its tongue, kindliness as its purpose, and mercy as its heart. Allah then bestowed upon, and strengthened, the intellect with ten qualities: certainty, faith, truthfulness, tranquility, sincerity, gentleness, benevolence, contentment, submission, and gratitude. Then Allah (Exalted and Majestic) said to it: ‘Retreat!’ Thereupon the intellect retreated. Then He said to it: ‘Come nigh!’ Thereupon the intellect drew near. Then Allah said to it: ‘Speak!’ Thereupon the intellect said: ‘Praise belongs to Allah, the one who has neither a foe nor a rival, neither a likeness nor an equal, neither a tantamount nor a similitude -- the one before whose splendor every creature is submissive, humbled.’”
“Then the Lord (Praised and Exalted) said: ‘By My grandeur and majesty, no creature have I originated more splendid than you, more obedient to Me than you, loftier in station than you, more eminent than you, or more exalted than you. It is through you that My oneness is acknowledged; it is through you that I am worshiped; it is through you that I am supplicated; it is through you that I am implored [by My yearning servant]; it is through you that I am desired; it is through you that I am feared; it is through you that My bondsman exercises reverent discretion toward Me; it is through you that I bestow reward; and it is through you that I apportion punishment.’”
“Upon hearing this the intellect sank to the ground prostrate, remaining in that state for a thousand years. Then Allah (Praised and Exalted) said: ‘Raise your head! And ask, so it shall be granted. Seek intercession, so it shall be accorded.’ Thereupon the intellect raised its head and said: ‘O my Lord, I beseech you to appoint me as an intercessor for whomsoever you have created me in.’ Then Allah (Majestic in His might) said to His angels: ‘I summon you forth to bear witness that I have indeed appointed the intellect as an intercessor for whomsoever I have created it in.’”
Prophet Muhammad’s narrative exemplifies the primacy that Islam accords the intellect; it constitutes a recognition of the high station of reason in the Islamic worldview. His oratory, which I have translated from the original Arabic, is found in a multi-volume compilation of his sayings, Mustadrak al-Wasa’il, under a chapter whose title is equally telling: “The Obligation to Follow the Intellect and Reason, and to Oppose Ignorance.”
Islam as a worldview is rooted in knowledge, intellectual exertion, and reason. The Qur’an repeatedly invites us to believe in Allah, the one true fashioner of the universe, by imploring us to ponder over the creation of the cosmos. In beckoning us to reflection, the Qur’an points us to two wellsprings of knowledge: the macrocosmic order of the physical universe (the “horizons” or ÂfÂq) and the microcosm of the inner reality of our selves (anfus).
We are instructed to “travel through the earth and see how Allah originated creation,” and we are given the tiding that “He will similarly produce a later creation [the Hereafter], for Allah has power over all things” (29:20). The Qur’an challenges us to probe and to reflect, asserting that “whichever way you turn, there is the Countenance of Allah” (2:115). Our inner self constitutes no less vital a facet of reality, reflecting upon which unlocks some of the esoteric marvels of the creative order. “We will show them Our signs in the universe and in their own souls as well, until it becomes manifest to them that it is the truth” (41:53). This being the case, the Qur’an then rhetorically asks: “Do they not reflect within themselves?” (30:8).
Knowledge, therefore, is sourced not only in the physical universe that envelops us, but also -- and even more important -- within our inner spiritual being. Both these fountains of knowledge contain signs pointing to the creative force that originated everything. Note how in none of the passages does the Qur’an ask us to blindly accept its message. To the contrary, only upon investigation and mental exertion are we to affirm what the Qur’an invites us to: belief in God and His oneness, and submission to His will. It is only as a corollary to this submission that we have been expected to obey Allah’s commissioned prophets and messengers throughout time.
Complementing the explicit Qur’anic statements about the importance of reflection and seeking knowledge are umpteen narratives from the Prophet of Islam and those who were heirs to his wisdom and gnosis. When asked how one arrives at the knowledge of The Real (Allah), the Prophet replied: “By knowing one’s self.” Ali ibn Abi Talib, the cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad, in a vividly metaphoric narration with colorful imagery, reports that the Prophet described how Angel Gabriel came to Adam and said: “O Adam, I have been instructed to have you choose among three things; select one and leave the other two.” When Adam inquired about his three options, Gabriel offered “intellect, modesty, and religion.” “I choose intellect,” replied Adam. Thereupon Gabriel told modesty and religion to depart. However, the two stood their ground, saying that they were under instruction to remain with the intellect wheresoever it may be. “So be it,” Gabriel replied, as he ascended to the Heavens.
Islam is a religion of balance. Physical, sensory perception is not our sole endowment. Self-reflection, looking internally at our own spirit and soul, is another integral means of acquiring knowledge and arriving at The Real. In his “Critique of Pure Reason,” Immanuel Kant evidently agrees with this view. He says: “Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe, the oftener and the more steadily we reflect on them: the starry heavens above and the moral law within.” Indeed, we must be cognizant of both the macrocosmic and the microcosmic wellsprings of knowledge, for they complement each other in guiding us in our spiritual wayfaring toward Allah, the Ultimate Reality.
Islam originale is not a religion that breeds the miser, the cruel, the coward, the intellectually indigent, or the depraved; it is the religion that nurtures the benevolent, the compassionate, the brave, the enlightened, and the pious. In short, it is the religion of the emancipated spiritual elite.

Definition of Sufism.Koran translations.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

The other day I was looking at the article on sufism in Wikipedia and came across this beautifully succinct and clarifying quote;
Sufism has been explained and is explained by many people in different ways. Sufism is, in fact, the purification of our baser instincts, heart and soul as prescribed in the holy Qur'an by Allah. Allah says,

"Khadh aflaha man tazakka" (the one who has purified (his nafs) has won. Quran:87:15).

When I went back to look for it, somehow, strangely, it had gone.I saw that the article had been changed on the same day that I looked at it and even wondered if I had inadvertently changed it. I don't think so .. but. Anyway, it seemed so perfect that I looked it up in my Yusuf Ali Koran. It was not exactly the same. This morning I looked it up on MSC's version with three translations concurrently running side by side. They were not the same.
Arabic is such a rich language, with its tri-lateral root system linking one word to up to twenty odd others with similar links and overtones, that it is impossible to make a straightforward translation. Add to that the fact that the Koran is a Divine Revelation with thousands of hidden meanings according to one's spiritual insight and you begin to get the picture. On top of that the Koran which can be read from a book is known as a "Mushaf" or copy because the original is really with Allah. It is said to be uncreated like Allah Himself .. it is said to be a "blueprint for the universe" (and much more besides). Here are the three other translations, along with the verses that follow to the end of the chapter, which put it in a historical context.

087.014 YUSUFALI: But those will prosper who purify themselves, PICKTHAL: He is successful who groweth, SHAKIR: He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,
087.015 YUSUFALI: And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. PICKTHAL: And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, SHAKIR: And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.
087.016 YUSUFALI: Say (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; PICKTHAL: But ye prefer the life of the world SHAKIR: Nay! you prefer the life of this world,
087.017 YUSUFALI: But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. PICKTHAL: Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. SHAKIR: While the hereafter is better and more lasting.
087.018 YUSUFALI: And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- PICKTHAL: Lo! This is in the former scrolls. SHAKIR: Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures,
087.019 YUSUFALI: The Books of Abraham and Moses. PICKTHAL: The Books of Abraham and Moses. SHAKIR: The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.

I wonder where that Wikipedia translation came from .. and, where it went to?

An example of why Sufis hate Wahabis.

Bismi'llah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim...for the sake of Prophet Muhammad saws and Sheikh Nazim may Allah protect his secret.

Anyone still wondering why Sufis (and especially Sheikh Nazim) hate Wahabis?
Take a look at this from liveblog;

Current mood:
angry
Wahabbi devils plan to destroy Roza e Aqdas. In today's Independent newspaper:

Historic Mecca, the cradle of Islam, is being buried in an unprecedented onslaught by religious zealots.Almost all of the rich and multi-layered history of the holy city is gone. The Washington-based Gulf Institute estimates that 95 per cent of millennium-old buildings have been demolished in the past two decades. Now the actual birthplace of the Prophet Mohamed is facing the bulldozers, with the connivance of Saudi religious authorities whose hardline interpretation of Islam is compelling them to wipe out their own heritageThe sooner this regime falls, the better for everyone. It is the same oil-rich orthodoxy that pumped money into the Taliban as they prepared to detonate the Bamiyan buddhas in 2000. And the same doctrine - violently opposed to all forms of idolatry - that this week decreed that the Saudis' own king be buried in an unmarked desert grave.A Saudi architect, Sami Angawi, who is an acknowledged specialist on the region's Islamic architecture, told The Independent that the final farewell to Mecca is imminent: "What we are witnessing are the last days of Mecca and Medina."According to Dr Angawi - who has dedicated his life to preserving Islam's two holiest cities - as few as 20 structures are left that date back to the lifetime of the Prophet 1,400 years ago and those that remain could be bulldozed at any time. "This is the end of history in Mecca and Medina and the end of their future," said Dr Angawi.Mecca is the most visited pilgrimage site in the world. It is home to the Grand Mosque and, along with the nearby city of Medina which houses the Prophet's tomb, receives four million people annually as they undertake the Islamic duty of the Haj and Umra pilgrimages. The driving force behind the demolition campaign that has transformed these cities is Wahhabism. This, the austere state faith of Saudi Arabia, was imported by the al-Saud tribal chieftains when they conquered the region in the 1920s.The motive behind the destruction is the Wahhabists' fanatical fear that places of historical and religious interest could give rise to idolatry or polytheism, the worship of multiple and potentially equal gods.As John R. Bradley notes in his new book Saudi Arabia Exposed, the practice of idolatry in the kingdom remains, in principle at least, punishable by beheading. And Bradley also points out this same literalism mandates that advertising posters can and need to be altered. The walls of Jeddah are adorned with ads featuring people missing an eye or with a foot painted over. These "deliberate imperfections" are the most glaring sign of an orthodoxy that tolerates nothing which fosters adulation of the graven image. Nothing can, or can be seen to, interfere with a person's devotion to Allah."At the root of the problem is Wahhabism," says Dr Angawi. " They have a big complex about idolatry and anything that relates to the Prophet."The Wahhabists now have the birthplace of the Prophet in their sights. The site survived redevelopment early in the reign of King Abdul al-Aziz ibn Saud 50 years ago when the architect for a library there persuaded the absolute ruler to allow him to keep the remains under the new structure. That concession is under threat after Saudi authorities approved plans to " update" the library with a new structure that would concrete over the existing foundations and their priceless remains.Dr Angawi is the descendant of a respected merchant family in Jeddah and a leading figure in the Hijaz - a swath of the kingdom that includes the holy cities and runs from the mountains bordering Yemen in the south to the northern shores of the Red Sea and the frontier with Jordan. He established the Haj Research Centre two decades ago to preserve the rich history of Mecca and Medina. Yet it has largely been a doomed effort. He says that the bulldozers could come "at any time" and the Prophet's birthplace would be gone in a single night. He is not alone in his concerns. The Gulf Institute, an independent news-gathering group, has publicised what it says is a fatwa, issued by the senior Saudi council of religious scholars in 1994, stating that preserving historical sites "could lead to polytheism and idolatry". Ali al-Ahmed, the head of the organisation, formerly known as the Saudi Institute, said: "The destruction of Islamic landmarks in Hijaz is the largest in history, and worse than the desecration of the Koran."Most of the buildings have suffered the same fate as the house of Ali-Oraid, the grandson of the Prophet, which was identified and excavated by Dr Angawi. After its discovery, King Fahd ordered that it be bulldozed before it could become a pilgrimage site."The bulldozer is there and they take only two hours to destroy everything. It has no sensitivity to history. It digs down to the bedrock and then the concrete is poured in," he said.Similarly, finds by a Lebanese professor, Kamal Salibi, which indicated that once-Jewish villages in what is now Saudi Arabia might have been the location of scenes from the Bible, prompted the bulldozers to be sent in. All traces were destroyed. This depressing pattern of excavation and demolition has led Dr Angawi and his colleagues to keep secret a number of locations in the holy cities that could date back as far as the time of Abraham. The ruling House of Saud has been bound to Wahhabism since the religious reformer Mohamed Ibn abdul-Wahab signed a pact with Mohammed bin Saud in 1744. The combination of the al-Saud clan and Wahhab's warrior zealots became the foundation of the modern state. The House of Saud received its wealth and power and the hardline clerics got the state backing that would enable them in the decades to come to promote their Wahhabist ideology across the globe. On the tailcoats of the religious zealots have come commercial developers keen to fill the historic void left by demolitions with lucrative high-rises."The man-made history of Mecca has gone and now the Mecca that God made is going as well." Says Dr Angawi. "The projects that are coming up are going to finish them historically, architecturally and environmentally," he said. With the annual pilgrimage expected to increase five-fold to 20 million in the coming years as Saudi authorities relax entry controls, estate agencies are seeing a chance to cash in on huge demand for accommodation."The infrastructure at the moment cannot cope. New hotels, apartments and services are badly needed," the director of a leading Saudi estate agency told Reuters.Despite an estimated $13bn in development cash currently washing around Mecca, Saudi sceptics dismiss the developers' argument. "The service of pilgrims is not the goal really," says Mr Ahmed. "If they were concerned for the pilgrims, they would have built a railroad between Mecca and Jeddah, and Mecca and Medina. They are removing any historical landmark that is not Saudi-Wahhabi, and using the prime location to make money," he says.Dominating these new developments is the Jabal Omar scheme which will feature two 50-storey hotel towers and seven 35-storey apartment blocks - all within a stone's throw of the Grand Mosque.Dr Angawi said: "Mecca should be the reflection of the multicultural Muslim world, not a concrete parking lot."Whereas proposals for high-rise developments in Jerusalem have prompted a worldwide outcry and the Taliban's demolition of the Bamiyan buddhas was condemned by Unicef, Mecca's busy bulldozers have barely raised a whisper of protest."The house where the Prophet received the word of God is gone and nobody cares," says Dr Angawi. "I don't want trouble. I just want this to stop."
